"Yue! Yue! Stop!"
Before Dylan could reach her, Yue slammed the door of her hut behind her.
He knocked relentlessly until the girl finally decided to open.
"Yue! I'm sorry! Really! I ... I didn't want to make you angry ... I'm sorry," Dylan hastened to say, in a panic.
Seeing her so shaken drove him crazy.
Where did he go wrong?
Yue looked at him for a few seconds, the moon lit up his tremendously pale face.  Then she smiled.
"I'm not angry, but ... Dylan ... What happened a little while ago must never happen again, okay? It's wrong. It's damn wrong and it was my fault. It won't happen again," she said in a trembling voice.
"Okay! I promise! It won't happen again! Now let's go back to sleep and ..."
"I'll sleep here in my hut tonight".
His wounded gaze made her heart clench.
She reached out and gently stroked his face.
"It's okay. Really. Now go to sleep," she whispered, trying to smile.
She closed the door and dropped to the floor.
Damn.
What has she done?  That kiss ... She had never kissed anyone like that.  And no one had ever kissed her like that ...
She was still shaken by a thousand electric shocks.  But it was wrong.  It was extremely wrong.  Dylan still had to live so many things in "the real world"... Yue had just stolen his first kiss and she felt damn guilty, because it should have been with the person he loved.
She thought back to what had just happened ... To the desire to have him closer and closer that she had a moment ago, in his hut.  She never seemed to have enough of his lips.  Those lips ... So soft, so full ...
"Enough, Yue!"  she said to herself.
Everything she had felt was simply due to the fact that she had been alone on the island with him for too long.  It was normal to feel certain instincts, right?
But tomorrow everything would have been different ... She couldn't afford to make the same mistake again.  She and Dylan had come too close ... Too much physical contact, too much intimacy.
Suddenly she heard the door knock again and her heart started beating very fast.
What did he want, yet?  Why couldn't he understand that she needed to stay away from him at that moment?
She remained silent, still sitting on the floor.
Dylan's sad voice broke the silence.
"You don't have a bed," he said.
Yue's eyes widened.  She hadn't thought of it.
With a sigh, she opened the door and they exchanged glances.
Without a word, they returned to Dylan's hut and lay down on the bed.
That night, after so long, they did not sleep in each other's arms.
Dylan stared at Yue's back in the dark.
What happened before agitated him.
He had never experienced anything like this in his entire life.  Kissing Yue's lips ... How could such a simple thing make him feel all those emotions?  His lips tingled as he pressed them against hers ... He couldn't get away from her.  He wanted her close.  And close was not enough.  As they kissed each other, he felt the instinct to caress her white skin ...
It was as if Yue had shaken him strongly, displacing everything he had in his soul.
But Yue said it was wrong.
She had run away.  She was so pale, so upset ...
But how could something that made him feel so good, so alive, be wrong?  It couldn't be wrong.
Maybe ... Maybe Yue meant it was wrong with him?
Maybe she hadn't felt the same things he had felt?
Maybe ... Maybe ...
He no longer knew what to think.
He just wanted to tighten her tiny body in his arms.  He wanted to feel her warmth.  He wanted to hear her voice sing for him like every night and then her calm breath against his chest as she slept.

The following day, Dyaln went hunting and when he returned with breakfast, he found Yue sitting on the beach contemplating the ocean.
She hadn't slept that night.
"Yue? Are you okay?"  Dylan asked, sitting next to her.
She nodded.
"Can we talk about what happened yesterday? I'm a little confused ..." he tried to say.
"Dylan ... What happened yesterday is nothing, okay? Let's not talk about it anymore."
"But if it's nothing, why did I feel all those things inside me? Didn't you feel anything?"  he asked, with a sigh.
"Nothing".
Dylan's sad look made her feel even more guilty.
That's why she had to distance herself from him.  His heart was too pure, she didn't want him to suffer.
"Let's eat, okay?"  she suggested, with a smile.
"Can you explain something to me first?"
Yue nodded tensely.
"Yesterday you said a word that I didn't understand correctly. I mean ... It sounds familiar, but ... I'm not sure"
"Which word?"
"Love".
There was a moment of silence between the two.
Yue thought about it, then took a long breath.
"Love is the purest and most beautiful feeling you can feel. Loving a person means always worrying about her, always having her in your thoughts, feeling the constant need to be with her, to help her in difficult moments and to rejoice with her in  the happiest ones. For you there is only her. When you love someone, her happiness comes first. You would do anything for her. Something inside you changes ... And you see everything differently ... Or at least ... Well, that's what they told me. I ... I've never been in love."
Yue turned to Dylan and noticed that he had a strange look.
"What's going on? Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked, worried.
"Yue ... I think I love you".
Fortunately Yue was sitting, otherwise she would have fallen to the ground in shock.  Her heart began to beat wildly.  She no longer had any control over it and she couldn't understand what was happening to her.
She shook her head and gave him a smile.
"No, Dylan. What you feel for me is simply affection. It's different."
Dylan thought about it for a few seconds, not really convinced.
Yue realized that at that point she really had to create a certain detachment between them, before it was too late.

Six days later ...

Dylan felt lonely again.
From the famous kiss, Yue was looking for all the ways to avoid him.
She rarely talked to him and she moved away whenever he tried to hug her or give her a little kiss.
And so he was overcome by a very bad feeling of sadness, abandonment, helplessness and disappointment ... And he didn't want to feel those feelings.
At first he tried to get close to her again, then he decided to respect her decision and stepped aside.
Yue, on the other hand, was suffering as much as he was.  And when she realized that Dylan had stopped looking for her attentions, the pain increased even more.
He was missing.  And this was completely new to her.
She missed his strong arms and his big hands .. She missed his radiant smile and his sweet look ... She missed his lips ...

That night, after getting into bed, it started to rain.
At first it was a light rain, but then it became stronger and stronger.
Suddenly Dylan got out of bed and ran out of the hut with a rope.
Yue's eyes widened and she wondered where he was going.  It was raining too much to get out!
"Dylan! Dylan!"  she screamed, leaning out of the door of the hut.
She couldn't see him, it was raining too hard!
Soon thunder and lightning broke the sky.  Yue was very worried.  Why didn't he come back?  It had been a long time since he left the hut!
It was pouring down!  She waited a moment longer and then rushed out to look for him.
"Are you crazy ?! Go in!"  two hands grabbed her and pushed her back into the hut.
Yue looked up ... Dylan was soaked ...
"Where have you been?!"  she asked, as her heart pounded in her chest like a jackhammer.
She had really been worried for him.
"I have reinforced the walls of your hut or it won't be able to resist all this rain" he replied, shaking his head to remove water from his hair.
"ARE YOU A STUPID ?!"  she shouted at him, incredulous.
"What?"  his eyes widened.
"YOU'RE A STUPID! WHAT DID YOU THINK?! GOING OUT UNDER THIS RAIN!"
Yue felt so angry!  That fool had risked hurting himself for a stupid hut!  And now he was soaking wet and he sure would have caught a bad cold!
"I DID IT FOR YOU! I DID IT ONLY FOR YOU! BECAUSE I DIDN'T MEAN YOUR DAMN HUT FELLED! AND NOW YOU'RE YELLING AT ME! AFTER DAYS THAT YOU ALMOST DON'T TELL ME A WORD! WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE YOU HAPPY?!"  screamed Dylan in turn, frustrated.
Yue was speechless.
"What should I do, Yue?"  he whispered this time, looking hurt.
Yue's reason flew out of the hut while with long and rapid steps she ran towards him and kissed him.
Dylan, after a moment of hesitation, embraced her waist and deepened the kiss with passion.
"Yue?"  he sighed, breaking away from her with shortness of breath.
"Hmm?"
"I keep thinking that I love you".
Dylan closed his eyes and waited fearfully for her answer.
