Wang He Di had to admit that the job gave to him by Mr and Ms. Wang was not at all easy, but he loved to talk to Grandma Wang.
She filled him with cuddles and attentions and told him a lot of incredible stories.
She often told anecdotes about Wang He Di, while her eyes filled with tears and a smile lit up her tired face.
"Do you remember?" she always asked.
Dylan felt guilty in pretending to be his beloved grandson, but seeing her happy warmed his heart and he felt that it was the right thing to do.  Although it was painful for him to hear the memories of someone who could have been him.
He would have really loved to be part of the Wang family.
Sitting next to  grandmother's bed in the hospital, she was listening to the story of when she and her late husband met.
Suddenly, Yue's sweet voice made him turn immediately towards the door of the room.
"Hey ... How are you two?"  she smiled, approaching them.
She put a hand on Dylan's shoulder, while with the other she stroked Grandma's white hair.
"Yueyue! Have you seen how handsome my grandson is today?"  the woman said.
Yue held a laugh and nodded, thinking back to that morning ...

Yue leaned silently against the open bathroom door and stood looking at Dylan.
The boy was in front of the mirror with his bare torso and he was looking at his reflection with suspicion.
With a smile, Yue approached him and hugged him from behind.
She heard him wince, but as soon as she leaned her cheek against his warm back, his body relaxed immediately.
"What's up? Did you find out you had a ugly face?" she grinned.
"Hey! Grandma says I'm beautiful!"  exclaimed Dylan, indignantly.
Yue leaned just over his back, without loosening the hug, and seeing their image in the mirror a smile escaped her.
"She's right," she whispered.
Dylan looked at her tenderly and then turned, wrapping her in his strong arms.
Yue was wearing a knee-length white dress, her shoulders were bare.
Dylan was increasingly convinced that she was an angel sent to that island to save him.
"You are beautiful. Beautiful," he said gently.
She stood on tiptoe and gave him a small kiss on his nose.
"Didi ... Thank you for what you are doing for the Wang family. I'm sorry for how it went ... But don't worry, okay? I'll find a way to convince them to take the DNA test."
"Yueyue ... They're really sure that I'm not their son. The T-shirt, remember? Let's not disturb them, I don't want them to suffer ..."
"I believe in Grandma Wang..." Yue sighed.
"Yueyue"
"Yup?"
"My hair ... Grandma says they're always in a mess ..."
Yue burst out laughing as she saw his frown.
"Let's fix it right away," she smiled at him.
She opened one of the drawers of the bathroom cabinet and pulled out a tube of his father's hair gel.
She ordered him to bend down and he obeyed, curious.
Dylan looked at Yue's face, inches from his, carefully trimming his thick dark hair.
"Now you're really handsome," she said, giving the final touch to the tufts that covered his forehead.
Without saying a word, Dylan dashed to her lips and kissed her.

"Yueyue?"
Grandma Wang's voice roused her from her thoughts.
"Yup?"
"I asked you if you can bring some of my fruit to your father ... My son always buy too much, I can't eat it all."
"Oh! Sure! Er ... I'm going, okay? See you tomorrow, Grandma. And ... Wang He Di... Some friends have organized a little party tonight and ... Well, can we go together? I'd like you to meet them, so they will become your friends too! "
Dylan hesitated for a second, uncertain.
"If you don't want, it doesn't matter! We can stay at home watching a movie," Yue hastened to add.
Dylan's heart tightened.
"Of course I want to!"  he exclaimed enthusiastically.
The smile that Yue gave him took his breath away.
After giving the woman a kiss on the cheek, the girl went out.
Dylan apologized to Grandma and ran out to Yue, then returned a few minutes later.
"It's all ok?"  Grandma asked him, seeing his face turn red.
"Oh, yes! I just needed to kis... Mmh ... Er... "
Grandma Wang laughed.
"She's your girlfriend, right?" she grinned.
"Well ... She ..."
"You love her?"
"Yes!"
The speed with which he answered the question moved Grandma Wang.
"Does she know it?"
Dylan nodded, blushing even more.
"And it's clear that she loves you too ... You can see how she looks at you and how she gently touches you. She's always been a good girl ... Don't let her run away, okay?"
"Of course, Grandma".
The two exchanged smiles and then decided to play some cards.
They were interrupted by Mr. Wang, who entered the room and caught their attention with a cough.
"Honey! Look at Wang He Di! He just learned to play two days ago and he's already better than you!"  exclaimed the woman, turning to her son.
"Really? Well, he must have inherited your talent!"  Mr. Wang answered uneasily.
"Wang He Di, can you come with me for a moment?"  he then asked Dylan.
The two went out into the corridor.
"Dylan ... Well ... The doctor told me that my mom's condition has improved a lot since you arrived. So he is ready to release her. Apparently, both she and Mr. Shen will be back home in two days. I know I've already asked you a lot and I'm sorry to have involved you in this matter, but know that I'm doing it only for my mother's sake.  Seeing her so happy and strong it's something extraordinary for us ... And that's why I'd like to ask you to come and live at our house for a while. Just for a while, okay? "
The first thing Dylan thought of was the fact that he should have left Shen Yue.
He had lived alone on a deserted island for a lifetime and now that he had her in his life, it seemed impossible to him to spend even a day without her.
Was it magic?
Mr. Wang's hopeful eyes struck him straight in the heart.
"I ... Er ... Can I think about it? I'd like to discuss it with Shen Yue," he said, rubbing his temples.
"Of course! Don't worry! Just know that I trust you and that I am truly grateful to you for having brought some light back into my mom's life," the man replied, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Dylan nodded and smiled at him.

That evening, at Yue's house, Dylan was fighting against an elegant white shirt.
"Wait, wait, wait! Let me help you!"  laughed Yue.
As the girl carefully buttoned, Dylan thought back to what Mr. Wang had told him at the hospital.
"Yu ..."
"Dylan ... I have to tell you something," she interrupted him seriously.
"Tell me".
"My father will be coming home in two days. I know he would be happy to have us both here, but I don't want to disturb him. So ... I ... wanted to ask you if ..."
"Yueyue, it's not a problem. I'll go and live with the Wang."
Yue's eyes widened in surprise.
It was not what she expected.
"What?"
"Mr. Wang asked me to come and live with them for a while. For his mother..." Dylan explained.
Yue gave a long sigh.
"Is that really what you want? I mean ... I'm happy for Grandma Wang, but you have to think about you too ..." she said then, stroking his face.
He smiled and nodded.
"Do you agree?"  he asked.
Yue thought about it for a second.
She had spent the whole day thinking ... and then came to the conclusion that the best solution was to ask Dylan to move into her apartment with her.
She had spent hours wondering if it was too hasty, if it was the right thing ... And then she came to understand that there could be other solutions: she could leave him her apartment and she could stay at her father's house;  she could have asked friends to host him;  she could have paid him a hotel;  she could have helped him find a small place to stay ... But it was useless to continue lying to herself: she liked being with him.  She liked the idea of sharing the same space, as on the island or as in those days alone at her father's house.  That's why she wanted to ask him to go and live together ... Maybe even just for a while.
And she was surprised to realize how much she was in love.
Shen Yue had always been a free girl devoted to work, but fond of parties and fun.  She had some stories in the past, but nothing really serious.
But now the situation was different.  She was different.
"Are you angry?"  Dylan asked her, worried.
She shook her head and hugged him.
"No, you fool," she whispered.
She was just worried. She understood the intentions of the Wang, but she feared that they could take advantage of him too much.
If he was willing to do everything he was doing for Grandma Wang, they would at least have to give him the DNA test ...
"I have another question," said Dylan, moving slightly away from her to look into her eyes.
He seemed nervous.
"What happens?"
"Yueyue ... I mean ... You ... Are you my girlfriend? Grandma asked me today, but I didn't know what to say," Dylan explained, blushing.
Yue's heart started pounding.
She was about to answer, when suddenly someone rang the intercom ...
Her friend Jaqi had come to pick them up to go to the party.
