"So, last day of middle school....." I said as we sat on the bridge, making it sway gently in the breeze.

"Yeah, we can either go to a hero school or just continue normal high school...." Shoto agreed, looking over to me. "What are you thinking of doing?"

I sighed, even though it's been at least a year since the question was asked, I wasn't too sure. Sure, being a hero sounded awesome....but I didn't want to upset Kota.

"What's wrong?" Shoto asked.

"I do want to be a hero......but my brother isn't much of a fan of them, and I don't want him to feel alone...." I admitted. "Ever since our parents died...."

"Oh........I understand..." Shoto said after a moment of silence.

"Yeah...so thats where I'm stuck..." I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'll figure it out eventually...."

"Right, you will." Shoto said with a determined nod.

I nodded back. "So, what about you?"

"I've been recommended to U.A. not much of a surprise there." Shoto said with a shrug. "The exam is happening in a few weeks so my father would probably be training me even harder."

"Well that's good, it's the top hero school in Japan! Don't let your father bring you down." I said, trying to make light of the situation. "I'll be cheering you on for the rest of the way."

He looked at me with a small smile. "And I'll be cheering you on as well."

We fell silent, just looking at each other, before a buzz interrupted the moment.

Shoto checked his phone and huffed before standing up. "My sister is expecting me home early...I hope we can see each other soon."

"Me too." I agreed before standing up. "Oh yeah! I just got a phone, I can register my number in yours."

"Sure." He said, handing over his phone.

I quickly typed in my number into the device and saved it as a contact before handing it back.

"Well, I best be going, see ya." He said before walking off down the bridge.

He got off the bridge and turned the corner before waving as he disappeared out of my sight.

I sat back down with a small grin on my face before fumbling at my bag and pulling out my phone.

No new notifications.

I sighed and leant back.

'Calm down (Y/n) you just gave him your number, obviously he's not going to text you straight away.' I told myself before hearing Aunt Shino saying she was there to pick me up.

I stood up and made my way to the car.

"Hey." Aunt Shino said as I climbed in.
"Hey."

"How was it?"
"Good, Shoto left a little early because he was needed at home." I said, checking my phone again.

"Cute." Aunt Shino said absentmindedly.
"Huh?"

"I've noticed every time you talk about Shoto you get a little grin on your face, it's cute, and by seeing you check your phone obviously means you gave him your number..." She stated.

"He's just a very good friend." I said. "I'm just excited to have someone to text other than you guys."

"Uh huh." Aunt Shino said as I looked out the window, wondering when Shoto was going to text me.

"Have you figured out what you wanted to do?" Shino asked after awhile of sitting in silence and me checking my phone every so often.

I shook my head. "I want to go to a school, but I don't want to leave Kota alone....I just might stay in my school." I mumbled.

"Hmmmm....." Shino said, nodding before speaking again after a moment. "Hey, I have a friend that works at a hero school, maybe I could ask if he could tutor you after school? Then me and the others could homeschool you or you can still go to your current school."

I weighed my options, this could be good, but what if Kota found out?

"What if Kota found out?" I asked.

"We could tell him its a math tutor or something along the lines of that."

I nodded slowly, feeling a little bad for Kota, but I didn't want him to worry or anything.

"I'm fine with that, if your friend is okay with it as well." I said as we pulled up to the house.
"Okay." Shino said with a smile as we parked.

I got out and walked to my room, Kota was off somewhere, so I had some time to sort out my books from my class and to throw things that I didn't need out.

I pulled the books out and skimmed through the pages before ripping them out and throwing them in the bin next to my desk.

I did the same to the other book, but stopped and looked at the page.

In the margin of the book was a small heart with the letters 'S + Y/n' inside.

I looked at it to see more hearts and random doodles in the margins that I definitely didn't remember drawing.

I was confused and looked through the rest of the books to find more hearts and 'S + Y/n' in the margins of my notebooks.

I heard a buzz from my phone and hurriedly grabbed it, hoping it was a text from Shoto, but it was just a notification from a game.

I sighed and put my phone down before resuming my investigative work on the random doodles and hearts in the margins of my notebooks.

Usually when I'm bored in class, I let my hand draw random stuff and don't really look at what I drew, so I must've drawn them during lessons....

'I don't like guys.....right?' I asked myself. 'I mean I'm fine with whoever does, but do I?'

I flopped back onto my bed, feeling confused, but just brushed it off.

'It'll probably go away.' I thought before hearing Ryuko calling me to help her with something.

~~Time Skip~~

I yawned, Kota was already asleep in his bed, and I was just about to climb into my bed before hearing a buzz from my phone.

I tiredly darted over to it and grabbed it, bringing it into bed with me.

I opened the device, the glare of the phone making me squint as I looked at it.

—New Message-

I opened the message to see it was from Shoto, making me grin like a lunatic.
