Chapter 33

The next few days were exhausting.

The first day was catching up on some theory work that wasn't included in our curriculum, which was quite the load we had to do, but it was mainly easy tests and worksheets.

The second day we did a partner exercise in battle trials going against Vlad King and Eraserhead, who had their abilities toned down, acting as both heroes and villains. We drilled through the exercise so many times that I lost count until we were able to win against the pros.

The third day we went to the U.S.J and with Thirteen we drilled through each zone and did a few exercises in them. (Minus having a league of villains come in and interrupt the entire experience) I also found that I could put out small areas of fire with my arms but I don't think it could do much.

I had also polished up on a move I could kind of do before, making a larger water copy of myself, but now I was able to hold it for at least 10 seconds and almost take every attack before it was over, making me very exhausted.

The fourth day was mainly working on endurance and overall abilities with and without our quirks, I was able to stretch my time length of the water copy to about 13 seconds.

Soon the week of hellish training was over, to only continue next week, we had the weekend off.

I asked Shino if Shoto was allowed to come over and she said yes, only if I got my room and the spare room clean. So I sent Shoto a text to confirm that he could come over.

I cleaned my room and cleaned the spare room, deciding that Shoto and I could sleep here, I mean there's a TV and enough room for two mattresses to fit plus more.

Shino and I then went out to the store with Kota to buy groceries and snacks for the sleepover, Kota found a pair of red shoes that looked similar to Midoriya's and asked if he could get them. I sent him a knowing look and got a death glare back, making me laugh and pretend to zip my mouth shut.

I was excited, and also nervous, one, because I barely invited friends over and two, my crush was coming over.

Shino seemed to have picked up on something and just kept on sending me grins whenever she looked at me, but when asked she just shrugged it off or gave a vague answer.

However Shoto came over and I showed him around a little and let him put his stuff in the room.

Then we sat in awkward silence, awkwardly avoiding eye contact or just staring at random things in the room.

"Soo.....you want to watch a movie?" I asked as the silence got to me.
"Sure, what is there to watch?" He replied.
"Let's see what there is on Netflix." I said as I grabbed the remote to pull Netflix up on the TV to see what was on it.

We eventually chose to watch Spirited Away and then continued from there, any awkwardness and tension disappearing in a few seconds.

We laughed and joked throughout the movies, catching myself from staring at him for too long, well into the evening when I decided to make some popcorn.

I told him I would go make it and walked out to the kitchen to see Shino pulling a bag of popcorn out of the microwave.
"Oh, hey, I was just about to give you guys some popcorn, but you can take it then." Shino said, pouring the popcorn into a bowl and sliding it over. "Also Kota's already asleep so keep it quiet in there and have fun."

She left with a grin and I grabbed the bowl off the bench but knocked off a small box I didn't notice before.

I picked the box up and immediately felt my face burn as I read what it was.

Condoms.

I threw the box away, knowing I would be able to get my revenge one way or another, but froze as I saw the box in the bin and it clicked.

She knows.

That's what every smirk and grin was for, she knew of my crush ever since I met him.

Heck, she knew even before I knew.

Holy shit.

I shook my head and turned back to the room, checking in to see Kota fast asleep, before walking in with the popcorn.

A whole bowl of popcorn, 2 packets of lollies and a movie later we wanted to do something that wasn't sleeping or watching a movie.

So we're just sitting in the room wondering what to do.

"Hey, I have an idea." I said to him after a moment.
"Yeah?" He asked, looking at me.
"Come on, and be quiet." I said as I stood up and made my way to the door.

We crept out of the house and slipped on our shoes, going into the night air.

We stumbled around, having nothing but the faint moonlight to guide us. I knew where I was heading and knew the route like the back of my right hand.

"Hey, (Y/n), wait, I can't see that much." Shoto said behind me, making me slow down.
"Sorry, here." I said, grabbing his hand and leading him through the forest.

We climbed up the rocks and eventually made our way to the top of the ledge Midoriya defeated the villain at.

It still had some scattered debris and the craters from the attack, but it was still in one piece.

We sat down, staring at the sea of green and black trees below us before I nudged him and looked up.

The sky was beautiful out here, almost every constellation could be seen and the different shades of greens, blues and yellows were prominent in the night sky.

"Wow.." I heard Shoto breathe as he looked up.
"Pretty, isn't it?" I whispered. "Kota and I come here every now and then to look."
"Yeah..." Shoto whispered back and we fell into a comforting silence.

We stared at the sky for awhile until I felt something place itself on top of my hand, making me tense for a second before realising it was Shoto's.

I looked over to see him staring at me, already making the butterflies in my stomach flutter around violently.
"Uhh...Shoto?" I asked quietly, seeing him move his head closer.

He didn't respond and I felt myself being drawn in, moving my head closer as well.

Soon we were close enough to feel our noses brush against each other lightly, but we both just stopped, as if we were waiting for the other to continue.

The butterflies were going crazy and my thoughts were stumbling over each other, what do I do?
'You know what? Screw it'

I moved forwards and captured his lips in mine for a moment before pulling away slowly, unsure if this was what he wanted.

What surprised me was him moving forwards and doing the same thing I did seconds ago, his hand moving up to my head to make it last longer.

I could almost feel the sparks literally flying throughout the moment before we pulled away for air.

We sat there in silence, save for the various sounds of insects and trees, recovering from the moment.

'Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg.' Was what was constantly running through my head. 'Does he like me or what was that?'

The butterflies were going stupidly crazy, crazier than before as I tried to make sense of the whole ordeal.

"(Y/n)."
"Yes?"
"I've...liked you for awhile."
"I've liked you too..."

Silence.

"So...what are we?" I asked.
"Hm?"
"What are we? I mean we just kissed...and if that doesn't mean anything, then I don't know what does." I repeated.
"Would you like us to be something?" He asked.
"I'm saying, would you like to be my boyfriend?" I said.

"I would like that, yes." Shoto said with a grin evident in his voice.

I grinned as he leaned forwards again to kiss my cheek.

"You missed." I said.
"Hm?"
I looked at him for a beat before pulling him closer and placing his lips onto mine.
