He had lead me over to a small cleared area which was around 50 meters wide, with some sort of camera between the space.

"So, I want you to run from one end to the other, you can use your quirk in any way to benefit you." He explained, pulling out a timer.

"Right." I said, putting down my water bottle and walking over to the starting line.

I looked around, wondering how my quirk could help me in getting across the other side. I saw a particular tree branch opposite me.

"Ready?" He asked, getting ready to time myself.

I nod, hearing a robotic voice speak.
"Runners on your marks, ready?" Then a gunshot sound could be heard, making me start running.

I ran as I activated my quirk, the arms shooting out and grabbing onto the tree branch, making me pull myself towards it in a rush.

I landed on the ground after the finishing line, deactivating my quirk as I panted.

"8.90 seconds!" A robotic voice called out.

Aizawa said nothing, tapping away on his phone to record my score, I think.

"Next, grip strength." He said, making me walk back and given a device. "This will measure your grip strength." He said.

I gripped the device, activating my quirk and making the arms grip the device as well, doubling the strength.

"Alright, you can let go." He said, making me look down at the device.

'105 kilograms.' I read, looking back up to Aizawa.

"Now, the long jump." He said after recording the results.

After around half an hour of various exercises, which I guess measured to see if I was capable enough for him.

I had done eight different exercises, and now was panting in exhaustion, I hadn't done that much exercise in awhile.

"That's enough for the day, I'll be seeing you once the school year starts." He said, starting to pack up his things.

I blinked, already? That easily?

He packed up his things and thanked Aunt Shino before driving off after a goodbye and apology he couldn't stay around much longer.

"So, how was it?" Aunt Shino asked as he drove off.

"Interesting, he said he'll see me once the school year started." I said.

"That's great!" Shino said before an alarm could be heard from inside the house. "We'll talk later!" She said, running off.

I nodded, knowing the alarm was for a rescue mission up in the mountains and there were very rare times where I was allowed to come and help out.

"Could I come or should I look after Kota?" I asked as she and the others got ready for their rescue mission.

"As much as I want you to come, not today, Kota's been off somewhere all day and we can't find him." Shino said as she left in a hurry along with the others. "Can you look for him?"

I nod and walked around the house to see if Kota was anywhere, but my search was fruitless.
'Maybe he went out to the forest...' I thought to myself before putting my shoes on and walking out to find him.

The sun was setting after awhile of walking and navigating through the forest, I had eventually found Kota at a small rocky outcrop, staring at the forest.

I walked over to him and sat down without a word, looking out to the forest as well.

"So, how was your day?" I asked, not getting a response.

I looked over to him to see his eyes covered by a shadow and him glaring out to the trees.

"They out on a rescue mission?" He asked finally, referring to Aunt Shino and her group, making me nod.

"What's the point?" He muttered. "Everyone's going to die one day, like how mum and dad did."

"Kota!" I hissed, giving him a look, though it softened as I saw his sad gaze. "Hey, hey...we've still got each other."

"I know, but, I miss them..." He said, pulling me into a hug. "They abandoned us, all for their hero work."

"Kota, we were told they died in the most heroic way ever." I said, trying to make him feel better only to be met with silence.

We sat out there long after the sun went down before it became too cold and too many insects were biting us, that was when we decided to go inside.

~~Time skip~~

I face planted onto my pillow before turning around and staring at the ceiling, the memories of the shopping trip with Shoto earlier playing in my head.

I felt my face heat up as I thought before sitting up and grabbing my phone as all my questions about Shoto and me flew into my head.

I opened my google app before typing in the search bar; 'How to know I like guys'

After awhile of reading and searching I didn't really establish anything about myself, just learnt the different sexualities that existed, though I wasn't sure which one I really fit into.

'But I never liked guys the same way I do to Shoto........so this is a first....' I thought, resting the back of my head on my hands. 'But even if I like him, there's no way he'll like me back.' I thought to myself. 'But I'm fine with being friends.'

I felt kind of satisfied though a little confused as well at the moment before pulling up my messages and sending Shoto a 'hello', but got no reply.

'He's probably busy.' I thought as I put it away and staring at the ceiling again before sleep eventually consumed me.

U.A. high loomed over me as I gulped and started walking towards the building, feeling nervous.

Shoto had texted me earlier, wishing me luck for the entrance exam, which gave me some confidence but I didn't have much hope in getting through.

"Hi!" I heard a bubbly voice say next to me, making me turn to see a girl with pink skin and hair with yellow horns.

"How you going? Isn't it exciting to be here?" The girl said bubbly.
I pointed to myself, a little confused if she was talking to me, making her nod.

"Yeah! You seem cool!" She said with a grin.
"Oh, yeah...I guess it's exciting to be here." I said. "I'm Izumi (Y/n) by the way, what's yours?"
"Ashido Mina." She said with a giant smile as we walked into the building.

We chatted until we found our seats, which were next to each other's with a slip of paper on the table.

She was pretty nice and very excitable, seeming to get excited over every little thing but went silent as Present Mic took the stage and started explaining the exam rules.

Once that was finished we were told to go to to our specified battle centres, Mina and I compared ours to see we had a battle centre next to each other.

"Hey, I know we only met, but maybe we could meet up sometime and hang out?" Mina suggested. "After the exam?"

"Sure." I said, happy I had made a new potential friend.

We swapped numbers before boarding our respective busses to go to the battle centres.

The trip was quick and soon we were leaving the bus and right outside a huge replica of a city, that had robots that could possibly kill someone if they weren't careful.

I tried to relax like everyone around me, but I was too nervous, I was just trying this out but what if I somehow got through?

I was snapped out of my thoughts as we heard someone telling us to run towards the city for the entrance exam to start.

I ran along with the crowd before noticing a 1 point robot everyone was running past.

I clenched my fists and looked at the robot with a determined glare before activating my quirk.
