Chapter 3

You returned to camp being known as the Flashlight Master instead of the newbie because you saved Nea from the killer.

Jake and Nea told Steve about the amazing flashlight save you did and Steve handed you a badge.

"A badge? What's this for?" You ask Steve.

"It's more than a badge. It's one of your perks. Think of it as a power during the trials." The badge has a picture of a flashlight on it.

"What does it do?"

"Everytime you search a chest, you get a flashlight." Steve explained.

"Cool." You say and Steve walks away.

It was night time and the moon was out.
You layed down by the fire, tired from your first trial and fell asleep.

Quentin sat down on a stump right across from you, staring at the campfire intensly.
He was quietly sipping on his coffee trying to enjoy the night.
Quentin never fell asleep, he was scared to appear in the dream world where Freddy could get him.
He would never take that risk.

Minutes later, Laurie showed up wearing a dusty brown sweater since it was a cold night.
She sat next to Quentin and made small talk.

"So, anything new Quentin?" Laurie asked.

"No. Well, except our new survivor." Quentin said referring to you and Laurie's eyes were on you sleeping.

"What's his name again?" Laurie asked.

"(Y/N)." Quentin took another sip of Coffee.

"Wasn't he the one that saved Nea today?"

"He did. I wish I was there to see it."

Laurie's eyes trailed up to your face seeing how cute and peaceful you were asleep.
She got up from the stump and laid next to you and went to sleep.

Morning came and you woke up with the sound of birds chirping.
You had to squint your eyes from the sunlight on you.

There was a feeling like something was on your chest.
You look down to see a girl with blond hair, you thought it was Laurie but sadly it was Kate resting her head on your chest.
You didn't want to wake her so you just laid there waiting for her to wake up.

Dwight was passing by and you tried to get his attention.

"Dwight. Dwwiiggghhht..." You called him quietly.

Dwight heard you and he had a shocked expression seeing Kate on top of you.

"Help...meee..." You told him quietly trying not to wake Kate.
Instead Dwight got scared and ran away.

"Dwight no. Damn it." You said trying to call him back.

You then felt Kate hug you and now her head was on your neck.
If anyone caught you like this, they might get the wrong idea.

You heared footsteps coming in your direction and was hoping it was a person you knew so it wouldn't be too awkward.

But it was Laurie...

"Sh*t" You thought.

Laurie just looked at you and Kate on the ground.
You blushed in embaracment knowing Laurie would laugh at you.
But to your surprised she walked over and shook Kate awake.

"C'mon Kate. Your making (Y/N) uncomfortable." Kate's eyes opened to see you laying under her.
Kate blushed and quickly got up and ran.

You finally were on your feet and confused of what just happened.

"What was that all about?" You ask Laurie.

"Don't mind her. She sleep cuddles."

"Is that even a thing?"

"That's what she told us when it first happened." Laurie got closer to you and brushed off the dirt on your arm.
Her touch was soft, it made you feel relaxed.

"First happened?" You ask as Laurie continued to brush off the dirt.

"She did the exact same thing to Jake. Except Jake liked it. I-It's a long story."

"I guess she does it with other boys too huh. Like me, Steve, Nea..." You say and Laurie started to bust out laughing.
"What? What did I say???" You ask embarrassed.

"Nea is a girl! Hahaha!" You stare at her laughing and joined her.
You both laughed for a while then it died down to you both staring at each other.
There was just silence between you two.
You both looked away from each other trying not to see you both blushing.

Laurie broke up the silence and introduced herself.

"I'm Laurie by the way."

"I guess you already know me. Hi, im Kate's human pillow." You said holding out your hand for her to shake.

Laurie chuckled and grabbed your hand leading you towards inside the woods.

Laurie led you to another campfire where two other survivors were there.
It was Claudette and Steve.

"We doing another trial?" You ask.

Steve and Claudette look at you surprised.
Steve pulled Laurie to talk to her privately.

"I told you to find David. He knows all about this killer." Steve said.

"I think (Y/N) is ready for her. Sure she's one of the toughest killers we've faced but we can't keep on babying him. Plus he's proved himself with that Flashlight save." Laurie protested and it made Steve look back at you.
He let out a huff then walked over to you.

Steve put his hand on your shoulder.

"(Y/N), let's go." You follow Steve standing in front of the fire.
Laurie was standing beside you giving you a smile.

"I think your ready for her." Laurie said.

"For who?" You say smiling back.

"The Hu-" Laurie's voice started to fade and your vision became dark.

Your vision was clear again and you were in a repair shop.
You look out a window to see walls of damaged cars around and some gens.
You walk into a room where a single car was and a gen.

"Piece of cake. This gen will be done in-" You stop talking by the sound of humming. The humming was coming closer and your heart all of a sudden was starting to race.

"What is wrong with me? What am I hearing?" You ask yourself.

The humming came to a stop but your heart was about to burst when you saw a tall figure at the door, the only way out.
It was a woman with a rabbit mask on.
You were frozen in fear not knowing what to do in your situation.
The woman raised a sharp hatchet.

"This is not what I signed up for."
