You were laying on the ground admiring the stars out tonight.

Quentin sat by the same stump and drank his coffee.
He still stared at the fire with intensity.

You always wondered why Quentin drank coffee at night.
Was he addicted to caffeine?
Best not to ask his addiction.

Quentin looked over seeing you laying on the ground staring at the night sky.

"I heard you survived the Huntress." Quentin said sipping his coffee.

You turn over to your side facing Quentin.

"Yeah. I did. Was it a big deal?" You ask.

Quentin nodded,
"Not many people survive the Huntress their first time. Not even me."

You finally get up and sat next to Quentin.
Quentin was your very first friend here.
He was always calm about everything, maybe that was the lack of sleep but you wanted to think he was just cool and collective.

"So. Is this all we do here? Just survive or die endlessly." You ask.

"That's the jist of it. Reliving a horrible nightmare."

"What do you mean a nightmare?" You say and saw Quentin drop his coffee, it shattered on the ground.
His eyes wide, he remembered the worst thing he feared most.
"Woah. You ok?" You ask him worried.

"I'm going to get more coffee..." Quentin got up and walked away into the forest.

As you went for a walk in the forest, you saw Jake and Kate yelling at each other.
They seemed to have a heated argument judging by how close their faces were.

"You never know how I feel!" Kate shouted.

"Why don't you go sleep with someone else!" Jake shouted back.

"You are such an ass, Jake Park!" And the argument went on.

You felt a hand on your shoulder.
The grip was firm and strong, it was almost crushing your shoulder.
You turn to see David with a stern look in his face.

"What's up David?" You ask.

"Laurie told me she needs you. It's an emergency."

"Oh ok. Lead the way big guy." You follow David through the forest and see Laurie sitting by another fire.

Her hair was gold and her eyes were glistening by the fire.
She looked like a beautiful goddess.

"Laurie. Here's (Y/N)." David said then went off into the forest.

You sat by Laurie standing by the fire.
She had her hands together and her legs crossed, smiling.
You just scratched your leg and your hands on your lap.

"Well this is akward." You thought.
You wanted to break the ice and speak first.
"You needed me for an emergency."

"Is that what David told you?" Laurie said chuckling.

You loved it how she smiled and laughed.
It really makes your day every time.
You smile back.

"He did..." You then chuckle a little yourself and continue,
"...why did you tell him that? Are you hurt?"

Laurie leaned closer to you.

"I said it was an emergency because I wanted you to hurry. The nights get awfully lonely. I have no one to talk to." Laurie said.

"Nights can be lonesome without company. I guess I never realized that." You say.

As you and Laurie talk the night away you finally get to the touchy topics.
Such as how you both got here.
First was Laurie.

"I was busy babysitting one of my friends siblings. I was reading a book and the kid I was babysitting was watching TV. Until I heard distant screams off in the distance. Screams like they being murdered..." Laurie paused and you touched her shoulder.

"Go on." You say concerned.

"Uhh, right. I look out the widow to see my neighborhood completely empty. It's like I was the only one there. I turn to see the kid gone. I ran outside calling for help but no one. But there was one other person there..." Laurie's hand formed a fist and you could feel her anger rising.

"Who was it?"

"Michael..."

"Who's that? Your boyfriend or something?"

"No. He's my stalker, my worst fear, and my most hated person. He made my normal life a living hell and he's here with us as one of the killers."

You never knew Laurie had this side of anger and hate inside her.
This Michael guy really made a mark in her life.
It's like she wanted him dead.
You made a note to yourself to never make her angry.
But it kinda made her even hotter than she already was.

"Man that's hot..." You say out loud.

"What?" She said confused.

"What? Nothing." You say trying to play it off.
"It's just that, man that's rough. This guy must of really messed up your life."

Laurie took a deep breath and put her head on your lap, lying down peacefully trying not to think about it.

"Your turn. How did you get here?" Laurie asked.

You explain to her your story and how you ended up here.
She seemed really into it, she got to know you better.
You told her about how popular you were in high school and in college.
Your pursuing career as a nurse and your weird call with your ex-girlfriend.

"Looks like someone was a womanizer." Laurie teased and you smiled but then frowned thinking of the sad truth.
"What's wrong?"

"I had so many girlfriends but it never lasted that long. They were either to clingy, tried to have sex with me day one, or too demanding. I just couldn't deal with that. I'm kinda waiting for my soulmate." You fold your arms together then Laurie sits up and hugs you tightly and you couldn't help but hug her back.

It's been so long since you've had a strong connection with someone and Laurie was the closest you've ever had with anyone here.
You questioned your feelings for her a little, was your heart making another poor decision? Was she like the rest of the girls you dated before?

"I'm sorry to hear that, (Y/N)." You both were still hugging, embracing the sadness you both felt in your past lives.

Then you started to think about your ex, you didn't want to but...
"My ex-girlfriend was the closest match to being my soulmate. Until she was kidnapped...then she was never the same."

"What was her name?" Laurie asked and you both finally stare at the fire again.

"Her name was Amanda. Amanda Young."
