I sit at dinner still thinking about lunch. I know I laughed but it felt anything but funny.
"You ok, Max" David asks. "Yeah I'm fine, Dad." I say. I quickly realized what I said but I didn't correct myself. I was to busy thinking about Neil, I felt almost... worried?
"Ok, son." I don't comment on that but look up to see David with a big stupid smile on his face, I knew he wouldn't bring my words up to me. Probably afraid I'd take them back.
"So how was school? Any crushes?" Gwen asks.
"No." I immediately say. "And it was interesting. The Wood Scout and Flowers Scouts go there."
Gwen raises an eyebrow and makes an unpleasant face. "Pikemen?" She asks."I think so but I haven't seen him yet." I say. She sighed.
"Umm Nikki and Neil go there." I say. "And apparently Neil is dating Tabii." Gwen chuckled. "Oh my God. For how long?" She asks. "I don't know." I say.
I leave and go to my room and text Neil.
