the next week went by painfully slow for jack.

jack was trying desperately hard to look his best for Zach

he had cut back eating completely which worried corbyn to death.

corbyn was scared that jack would no longer need him around. And it was true within the end of that week corbyn wouldn't be needed

it would be a heavy weight lifted off jacks shoulder.

jack prayed he wouldn't be so heavily dependent when Zach arrived.

jack sat timidly on Zach's bed. Zach's room was now clean thanks to jack.

the door opened as Zach walked in with his bag strap around his torso. he looked tired.

"hello I missed you." zach smiled looking in my eyes.
"hey soulmate." I jumped up and grabbed him in a hug.

he kissed my neck repeatedly. "oh how I missed you so much lover." I held him tighter.

holding him was one of the best feeling in the world.

he let me go putting his things away.

"Would you like to go to our favorite spot?"

on the dock we sat together hand in hand.
I examined zach he looked the same despite the stubble grown on his face.

"are you feeling good now?" I asked nervously. I didn't want to bring up our tragic past together but it was inevitable.

the silence between us had prompted our conversation

"I'm not good but I'm better." He sighed averting his eyes. "I still would do anything for you."

"I would do anything for you too. we were meant to be after all." I smiled at him.

"Where do we go from here?" his voice became suddenly desperate as his eyes scanned the water for an answer.

"we heal. Together this time."

but I wasn't sure where we could go from here.

"you've gotten thinner." zach said quietly.

A huge smile crept on my face a small bit of joy overwhelming myself.

"Thank you." I smiled shyly as he frowned at me.

"why are you proud of that?" Zach's voice harsh.

"I thought it made me look beautiful."

"you were wrong lover."
