"I love you, you know that right?" I said as Zach's hand rested on my cheek.
"I'm aware." zach commented while using his free hand to type away on his phone.
"why have you only told me you loved me once? why can't I hear it all the time like other couples do."
"cause we aren't like other couples." He simply said continuing to text who ever he was texting.
"why not? I want us to be a normal couple." I complained slightly annoyed that he was on his phone.
"Normal couples don't try to commit suicide over their boyfriend." zach took his hand away from jacks face to use it to type on his phone.
the topic of suicide was something brushed over by Zach but a very sensitive topic for jack. The night he almost lost his soulmate.
I gathered enough confidence before exhaling "I don't like when you talk about that Zach." I held my breath prepared for backlash.
but it never came.
"I'm sorry. I'll try not to talk about it anymore." zach said not looking away from his phone.
it wasn't very polite but in jacks eyes zach was making progress.

jealousy seemed to be a huge problem occurring in their relationship.
Now it was Zach who was jealous of jacks new friend. But zach was going to deal with it in a worse manner than jack did.
eben has approached me with a bouquet of flowers that morning.
"Jack do you like them?" eben said with a smile on his face.
I nodded in glee.
"you're literally the best! Who knew you had such a sweet spot! Corbyn will love them!"
"Aww come here!" Eben smiled pulling me into a hug.
without context this situation looked bad.
And Zach didn't have context at all. What zach knew was that eben was the guy jack blew off their date for and now he was giving his boyfriend flowers and was too close for comfort.
Zach had enough.
Jack suddenly realized how this situation looked when he saw his boyfriend storming over with an upset look on his face.
"Cmon." Zach said grabbing my wrist.
"It's not what you think." I complained.
"shut up." He stopped grabbing the flowers from eben and threw them to the floor before kicking them across the hallway.
"Stay away from jack." He said seriously before dragging me away.

later I found eben in lunch sitting besides corbyn.
"Eben I'm so so sorry." I apologized with regret of my boyfriends actions.
"it's alright I think it's too soon to ask him anyways." Eben smiled at me. "Please don't worry about it."
corbyn looked up from his phone "ask who what?"
eben and I laughed at corbyns curiosity.
"By the way jonah is back." Corbyn commented
a lump formed in my throat as my nerves rises. I hadn't seen him since the party where I was beaten by Timothy.
Jonah was particularly the reason that everything happened the way it did that night.
there were many rumors jonah helped set up jack getting beat that night to show daniel that he still liked him.
all of a sudden the atomosphere was dense and jack found it hard to breathe when he saw jonah enter the cafeteria.
this was nothing but trouble
