Shidge One-Shots

At the beach

*Shiro POV*

I laugh as I watch Pidge and Lance. Pidge is up to her neck in sand, her neck and up the only thing that's visible of her, and Lance is putting more sand on her,
"I am the Sea Guardian, Guardian of the sea and sand!" Pidge cries,
"Posidon himself quivers before her!" Lance grins, they share a smirk,
"Fuck off!!" Pidge yells out to the ocean that is creeping up on her.

I snicker into my hand and lovingly roll my eyes. I sit down on a blanket beside Allura,
"Well, they seem to be having fun." She snickers,
"Having kids is exhausting, am I right?" I tease, making Allura laugh,
"Agreed." She giggles.

Everyone has this joke that me and Allura are the 'Space Parents' seeing everyone calls me 'Space Dad' and they call Allura 'Space Mom', so we kinda just roll with it.

I spot Keith and Hunk not too far away playing a game of Marco Polo,
"Marco!!" Hunk cries out,
"Uh-polo?" Keith says, confused.

I lie back on the blanket and close my eyes,
"Dads need a rest every once in a while." I smirk. Soon I drift off to sleep.

~Time skip~

I'm awakened when someone jumps on top of me. I look up and see Katie grinning down on me, sitting on my stomach. Her hair is covered in sand along with the rest of her,
"Wake up Shiro! We're gonna play a game of water jousting-or whatever it's called!" Katie giddily snickers.

I laugh,
"Alright alright I'm coming." I chuckle. Katie gets off me and runs towards the ocean where Allura and Lance are already waiting. I get up and follow her.

Soon Katie is on my shoulders with the water coming up to my waist, a pool noodle in her grasp. Lance and Allura are doing the same facing us, Allura on Lance's shoulders.
"And go!" Hunk smiles from a good distance.

I 'charge' at Lance, my movements slowed by the water. After a little noodle fight between Katie and Allura Katie plunks Allura square in the chest,
"Eep!" Allura squeaks as she falls off Lance's shoulders. She lands in the water with a splash, sending water in all different directions.

"We won!" Katie cheers,
"I declare a victory lap!" She grins. I laugh and start to slowly walk in a circle, then Katie sticks her arms out and falls backwards into the water, sending water up my back.

Katie comes up for air and laughs, her hair damp and the water dripping onto her shoulders. She jumps on me, tackling me into the water. I fall backwards and we both go underwater. We swim up and draw in a breath, then we burst out laughing. I bend down and press my lips against Katie's, water dripping onto my shoulders and down my back from my hair.

Katie wraps her arms around my neck, smiling into the kiss. Suddenly we're splashed by a wave of water,
"Get a room!" Lance snickers, and Katie just gives him the finger in response, a grin on her face. I brush some wet hair out of her eyes,
"Love you, Katie." I smirk,
"Love you too, Shiro. Now let's go beat their asses at volley-ball!" Katie grins, starting to walk off.

She doesn't get very far due to the water slowing her down so I pick her up bridal style,
"I'm gonna kill you." She giggles,
"No you're not. You love me." I tease,
"Heh. True." Katie snickers,
"Now let's kick some butt!" She declares,
"Hell yeah!" I grin.
