Shidge One-Shots

The Café

*Shiro POV*

A bell rings as I enter my favourite café. I stride up to the counter, taking my hat off,
"Good morning. How can I help you?" A voice asks. I look up and see a small girl wearing an apron looking up at me from behind the counter.

"Oh. Sorry. Um, can I have a hot chocolate with whipped cream?" I ask,
"Coming right up." The girl smiles.

I stand there, silently taking in her features. She's small, her head coming up to my chest, with short light brown hair and big round glasses. Her face is covered in freckles and her big hazel eyes are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I watch as the girl puts the hot chocolate mix into a mug and starts to boil the kettle,
"You new here?" I ask as she grabs the whipped cream from a cupboard. The girls looks at me,
"Yeah. I'm Katie, everyone calls me Pidge though." She smirks,
"I'm Shiro. Cold today, huh?" I beam.

The girl smiles,
"Yup, which means more customers. Personally, I love the snow, though. I'd rather be out there than in here right now, anyway." She grins,
"Heh." Is all I say.

Once Katie finishes she slides my hot chocolate across the counter to me,
"That's £2.75." She smiles. I hand her a five pound note and she opens the cash register. Suddenly realisation hits me,
"Hey! You're the quiet girl in my school who always get the highest grades in the school!" I state.

Katie looks up at me and her eyes widen,
"You're that guy who's running for head boy!" She states. I blush a little and rub my neck,
"Heh. Guilty. But anyway, when does your shift end?" I ask. Katie looks up at the clock,
"In about ten minutes, why?" She asks.

I grin at her,
"Wanna join me?" I ask. Katie laughs,
"I'll meet you in ten." She snickers. I give her a smile before finding a table. I slide into the seat and begin sipping my drink, patiently waiting for the ten minutes to be up.

~Time skip~

"And Mr.Bell never even seen it!" I grin. Katie laughs,
"How?" She asks,
"He's a blind old bat, that's how!" I tease, earning a cute little giggle from Katie that makes my cheeks heat up a little.

We talk for hours until it's closing time. Katie puts on her coat, scarf, gloves and ear-mittens. We walk out into the snow, side by side, laughing and chatting.

Eventually we go back to Shiro's house and share a bowl of popcorn while watching a corny rom-com that we laugh at because it's so sappy and unrealistic.

Once the movie is over I stand on Katie's porch,
"That's for inviting me over." I smile, putting my hat on,
"Come over anytime. I had fun."
Katie giggles. She stands on her tippie-toes and kisses my cheek, making both of us blush,
"I-I'll see you on Monday?" Katie smiles,
"Y-yeah. I-I'll see you then." I smirk.

I wave at Katie as I walk down the street. I sigh happily and stuff my hands in my pockets.

God she's so damn cute. Now I can't wait for Monday. Heh. Never thought I'd say that.

As I reach my house I whip my phone out and text Katie goodnight. Just seconds later she replies with a goodnight.

I smile and and trudge up my stairs. I enter my room and flop on my bed, touching my cheek where she kissed me.
