Manik and Nandani were driving back home. Nandani was sitting on the passenger seat, looking outside the window. Manik was time to time glancing at her. She saw a grocery shop near by and turned to manik.

Na: Manik can you stop near that grocery shop

Ma: okay Nandani but if you need anything then you can ask worker to get it

Na: but this is something I can't say worker to brought it

Ma: Nd what is that ?(confused)

Na: sanitary napkins

Ma: huhhh!!!!??yeh kaun se napkin hote h (confused)

Na: Manik tumne bio class bunk kari thi kya ( looking at him shockingly)

Ma: yeah( smiling sheepishly) but Iska uss napkin ka kya relation (confused)

Na: Manik it's pads ( irritated)

Ma: ohhh( smiling nervously) tum aise directly nhi bol sakti thi

Manik said as if all fault is of Nandani. She nodded her head in disbelief. Manik stopped the car near a grocery store. They both move inside. Nandani directly moved towards the hygiene section while Manik took a cart and moved in other direction. She took the pain pads and turn around but Manik was not there. She look around and saw him in snacks section. She moved to him but when she saw the cart she glared him. Manik saw her glaring him and looked at his cart and smiled nervously. His cart was filled with chips, chocolates and that too in a good quantity.

Na: I can see too much chips and sweets

Ma: oh nandu, it's a grocery shop obviously you will ( nervously)

Na: trying to act smart mr Malhotra

Ma: don't you know I'm already smart( smriking)

Na: really( smriking) then how about you show your smartness staying outside the bedroom tonight.

Ma: what????(shocked) what will i do ??

Na: maybe you can spend time with your chips and chocolates

Manik immediately put all the things on there place and stood silently in front of her. Nandani can't help but smile at this man child. Nandani pulled his cheeks making him groan.

Na: you are sooooo cute maniii

Ma: stop calling me that word (irritated)

Na: no.

Ma: Nandu can I at least take one chocolate

Na: okay but only one

Ma: pakka( smiling widely )

Manik immediately took one chocolate and they both move towards the billing counter. But how can they both be quite. They both start arguing on who is gonna pay.

Ma: Nandu I'm saying na I'm going to pay

Na: no Manik. I'm gonna pay( turning to salesgirl) you take this (forwarding her card)

Ma: not happening ( to salesgirl ) you take this( forwarding his card)

Nandani glared at him seeing this but Manik is no less he glared back. Poor salesgirl kept looking at them with helpless face.

Na: Manik let me pay

Ma: no way nandu. (Turning to salesgirl) what you are looking at!!take this( pointing at his debit card)

Na: don't you dare(to salesgirl)

Salesgirl: umm sir ma'am why don't you spilt (nervously)

Na: that's a good idea. Right manik?

Ma: yeah(smiling)

Salesgirl sighed in relief. They both spilt the bill and move out. In few minutes they reach home and sat on the sofa in living room. But suddenly Nandani ran upstairs confusing Manik. He was about to go behind her but then he saw something which made him extremely worried. He immediately ran to their room. Entering inside he realised she is in the washroom. He start knocking on the door with a worried face.

Ma: Nandu are you okay?? Nandu jaldi bahar aao. Yarr at least reply to kro

Nandani came out in few seconds. Manik checked her from top to bottom confusing her. He cupped her face.

Ma: tum thik ho?

Na: ha Manik. I'm fine. But what happened to you ?(confused)

Ma: I saw blood on the sofa where you were sitting.(worried)

Na: oh(realising why he is hyper)

Ma: what oh??what happened?

Na: my periods happened. (Chuckling)

Ma: oh(smiling embarrassingly)

Nandani was smiling at the fact he care for her. He was worried for her. Who girl doesn't want this? She feel special.

Na: Manik it's okay. You didn't know. (Seeing him embarrass)

Ma: I will get that clean.

Na: no, I will do it.

Ma: why? There are servant.

Na: I know. But it's so embarrassing

Ma: Nandu it's not your fault. Nd what's embracing in that. It's just your periods

Saying this he went out. Nandani kept looking at him smiling. She changed into her comfortable clothes and went down. She saw Manik cleaning the blood stain with a wet cloth.

Na: Manik why are you doing this?

Ma: ab you don't want any servant to clean this so I'm doing this

Na: Manik you don't need you. It's dirty, I will do it

Ma: it's just your boold Nandu. Nd you sit down quietly (sternly )

Nandani was confused by his tone. He never talk to her sternly. She sat quietly. Manik cleaned the stain and gave the cloth to a servant. He directly move to kitchen and get some fruits for her. Manik gave her fruits without even looking at her. Nandani was confused by his behaviour but more she was hurt by his ignorance.

Na: Manik what happened? Please tell me but don't ignore me ( holding his hand)

Ma: Nandu how dare you call this blood stain dirty. It's your blood. Later our child is gonna nourished by this blood then are you gonna say him or her dirty!!? (Angry)

A smile broke on her face. What else she want. She hugged him tightly which calm him down. Manik hugged her back.
