Next morning was a little hectic for both of them. Nandani had two surgeries early in the morning and she left home without even having breakfast which worried Manik. While he even had a important meeting so even he left for office. Around 3 when he finally got free, he directly to hospital. Reaching there, he directly went to her cabin and slightly peeked inside. After making sure she is not busy he entered inside. Nandani who was busy in some file looked up and found Manik smiling. She just passed a fake smile.
Ma: hey( cupping her face) kya hua (worried)
Na: (shaking her head in no) nothing just tired.
Ma: did you have anything? (Raising his eyebrows)
Na: sandwich and juice ( weekly)
Ma: Nandani are you seriously a doctor? ( glaring her) khud ka toh khabhi dhayan rakhti hi nhi
Na: tum hi na uske liye ( looking directly into his eyes)
Ma: ( his eyes got soften) nandu ( cupping her face) acha chalo lunch karne
Na: chalo ( smiling)
Nandani pack up her work and as she didn't have any appointment further. They left for a restaurant which was nearby only. Entering inside, they were greeted by the staff. As Manik frequent visit there, he was known to all. He greeted them back. They got themselves a private lounge. They both got seated beside each other.
Ma: so what will you have nandu?
Na: mani I feel like having pizza( excitedly)
Ma: ( sarcastically) tum chordo main hi order kar deta hu
Na: manikkkk mujhe pizza khana h (s
Ma: Nandu you haven't eaten much since morning and now you want to have pizza. How come you are a doctor.( glaring her)
Na: but mani I want to
Ma: sham ko order kar lenge.
Na: toh phir tum hi order place kro. Meri toh koi sunta hi nhi ( folding her hands across her chest with a angry pout)
Ma: nice idea
Manik grinned and start looking in the menu. Nandani looked at him with a open mouth and glared him to which Manik ignored royally.
Ma: acha gussa kyu ho rhi ho. Nandu you are on your periods and on top of that you haven't eaten healthy from morning. Then how do you except me to let you have pizza. I promise yarr, in dinner we will have one.
Na: pakka ( looking at him)
Ma: pakka ( pinching the skin of his throat)
Na: then okay( smiling) Acha how was your day?
Ma : good until cabir started his drama ( sighing)
Na: he is fun manik ( giggling)
Ma: that he is. How was your day
Na: hectic.
Nandani said and keep her head on his shoulder making him smile. Soon there lunch arrived and they both had it with lots of talks and giggle. They spilt the bill and headed back home. Entering inside, Nandani immediately ran to room and jumped in bed throwing her footwear. Manik sighed seeing her snuggling in the comfort.
Ma: nandu its almost evening. Don't sleep now or you will not be able to sleep in night. ( sternly)
Na: ( pouting and sitting up) but I feel like sleeping only.
Ma: okay then no pizza today ( stern voice)
Na: (sadly) you are bad. You snatched my second love from me
Ma: Nandu your first love is pizza, then sleep. May I know my position?(raising his eyebrows)
Na: ( grinning) sure but let me think( calculating on her finger)
Ma: Teri toh
Saying this manik run towards her. Seeing him, Nandani ran and Manik chased her. She move out of the room and climb down the stairs. But as she was running, she lost her balance and fell down. Manik saw her slipping and ran to her fastly. She was about to roll down the stairs when he held her hand and pulled her. She crashed into his chest. Feeling his warmth, she immediately snuggled into him being scared. Manik could feel her shivering due to fear. He caressed her head.
Ma: Nandu you are fine baby, relax. ( softly )
Na: manik( fear) what if I fell down. I'm so careless.
Ma: no Nandu. You just lost your balance. It's okay. It happens with everyone and you are fine right( Nandani nodded)
Seeing Nandani is not leaving him, he picked her up in his Arne she carried her downstairs. Nandani was still clinging to him. He took her to the theatre and made her lay down on a large bed place in front of the digital screen.

Ma: which movie you wanna watch?
Na: Harry Potter
Ma: even I was thinking about that only ( excitedly)
Na: it's one of my favourite movie. You know manik, when I was small I used to think that hogwords is a real world and one day I will gonna study there ( giggling)
Ma: same. I even cried to go there once and didn't eat whole day saying that I will only eat when mom dad will take me there. Gosh, mom was so angry that day. ( laughing)
Na: start the movie( excitedly)
Manik played the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. They both were enjoying the movie, commenting and discussing there view. Manik smile at the fact that Nandani has totally forgotten today's incident. They both continued watching the series. It was around 9. when they realise that they were hungry. As Manik promised, he ordered pizza.
Na: Manik kab tak aayega
Ma: Nandu it's been only 10 minutes since I ordered. It will take time na
Nandani nodded but again after 5 minutes she asked. Again manik replies the same. She continued asking till the time pizza arrived. As soon manik bought the box in the room, Nandani snatched the box and start eating making Manik chuckled. They both continued watching Harry Potter series till they slept.
An another day added to there togetherness. Ther filled there another page with lots of memories. Always remember one thing, the best proportion of your life will be small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.
