Mission: Green

Chapter four

Everything was black.
Renegade couldn't see anything, all was just a dark mist covering his eyes and making his mind feel dizzy. However, Renegade could now hear voices. People talking.
" w...what is going on...." he mumbled. Slowly, his head was getting clearer and he now slowly managed to open his eyes.
At first, he was confused. Why was he in a room full of candle light, and he couldn't remember that the base had colors like this, and beautiful paintings.
Then he realized what was going on and the memories came back to him.
He tried to grab his sword, but he couldn't move his hands at all! In fact, he couldn't move anything at all!
He looked down at himself and found himself tied up in a chair. His sword was removed and so were his other weapons.
He was not alone either. He hadn't noticed them before now. All of them were there. All the elemental masters.

" well I managed to knock him out! So I have to be the green ninja!" The red one spoke, discussing a topic with the others. Green ninja? Renegade though to himself confused. The green thing did sound familiar though.
" he's awake, get Garmadon and Wu." The female ninja spoke. And the black ninja left the room to get the people she had spoken of.
" so, who are you! Why did you come here? What's your goal!" The red ninja walked up to him with his fist raised.
His dark eyes stared angrily at him.
Renegade just started coldly at him. Lucky he still had his mask on.
" back off Kai, " the same man he had watched meditating walked into the room with the soaring man with a white beard. The ninja stood silently in respect for their senseis. All except the red ninja named Kai.
" oh come on sensei! Let me give him what he deserves! He was obviously going to kill me last night!"
" knock it off Kai!" The girl groans at him.
" I'm talking over from here Kai, you have done good ninja." The first man spoke.
Then the two senseis turned their attention on the renegade.
He stared coldly at them, just like he had done with Kai.
The first man, the one who had been meditating pulled out a chair and sat down, right in front of the Renegade.
" hi, my name is Garmadon, and this is my brother Wu. We have no intention on hurting you, but we need you to co-operate with us alright?"
Renegade didn't answer him.
" so, first of all, we would like to remove your mask, were not going to hurt you alright?" Garmadon spoke.
" don't touch me" the renegade spoke angrily.
" oh so you do talk!" Kai yelled from the other side of the room. Seconds late he wined in pain as his sister had hit him to make him shut up.
" alright, here's the deal, if you answer our questions, we will let you keep the mask, but if not, we will remove it" Garmadon spoke. Neither this time renegade answered. He wasn't going to give them anything.
" first question, who is your master? You obviously haven't learned to fight by yourself " renegade was surprised by how wise this man was, but didn't give him any answers.
" we will have to remove your mask if you don't answer" the white bearded man who went by the name Wu spoke.

" just get it off master, he isn't going to answer anything!" The blue ninja yelled.
" you give me no choice " Garmadon gently grabbed the mask and slowly pulled it off. Renegade tried his best to prevent this by backing his head, but he had no chance of escaping it. The mask was gently removed from his face. Blonde messy hair was what they saw at first, then the bright green eyes of a young teen.
" y... you're just a kid!" Garmadon uttered surprised. He had not expected to see such a young face underneath the mask.
Wu was surprised at this as well and took a step forward " what's your name boy, and please do tell us who your master is"
Renegade wasn't sure what to say. He didn't really have a name, neither did he have a number. Renegade was just the name of his title at the league of shadows. " I don't have a name. Renegade is what they call me" was his final answer. The ninja exchanged looks.
" knew it! So you are the unknown villain that people talk of!" Kai dropped out.
" you're the guy who we're being looking for! The guy we never managed to catch or track down."Zane pointed out. Kai didn't like the sound of being weak, like Zane has pointed out.
" pff! We're not the stupid ones! He's just lucky we didn't find anything!"

" are you kidding me? You can't even admit defeat!?" Cole joined the fight.
" well you're the stone ninja! You should have noticed some tracks!" Kai spoke.
" earth ninja! Not stone you idiot!"
" wasn't it sand? " Jey grins at his dark haired friend, knowing him to well.
" how dare you!" Cole grabbed him by his shirt.
" stop it! Shut up and listen!" Nya broke through. She couldn't believe that she had to live with these people and even grew up with the worst of them.
" we would appreciate if you could keep it quiet!" Wu broke in, not sounding happy about this outburst.
" sorry sensei!" They all bowed their head ashamed.
Renegade just watched them with curiosity. Was this really the elemental warriors that the whole nation praised and loved? Their greatest enemy? His target of success? He could almost not believe it.
But then he caught the old man Garmadon staring at him intensely. Renegade faced him, showing no fear of him.
He had heard The legends of him, once being the dark lord, destined to destroy ninjago, but his weakness defeated him. That's how the league of shadows has taken over his goal in ruling ninjago city one day.
But this old man did not seem likely to have once been such a great evil warrior. To him, he seemed more like a man you would be happy to be around.
" you don't have a name...?" Garmadon asked the young teen.
The boy only stared coldly at him, but shook his head afterwards.
" family?" He asked again. The boy narrowed his eyes at him. " why should I?" Was his only answer.
Garmadon got a sad expression on his face. He felt utterly bad for the boy. He didn't know why he cared, but he somehow didn't feel like sending him to jail.
" who is your master?" Was his next question.
At this, renegade shut his mouth. He was never to mention his name. That was a law at the base. No one was to speak it, neither mention it, but everyone was to know who he was.
" I can't tell you"
Garmadon slowly nods. " alright... this is my last question for now, why were you sent here? And what is your purpose for being here" renegade raised his eyebrow at him since there was two questions into one. But to Garmadons surprise, the boy actually answered him.
" I was sent here to prove my worth by killing an elemental master,"
Just thought of this spread fear across the room. If Nya hadn't been up by that hour to leave her room, they might had lost a member that night.
Nya had her mouth covered by her hands as she realized it.
" monster.." Kai mumbles.
" damn...." Cole looks at Jey, actually being happy it hadn't happened to him or anyone.
Garmadon stood up. He knew now that this boy couldn't be sent to jail. To often, villains broke their friends out, and it was obvious to him that whoever the boy worked for, wanted him back.
" I will return to you in an honor and confess to you, what we will do to you, Zane, and Cole, you will guard him as me and my brother will discuss this alone. The boys nodded and the others left the room.
Renegade watched the other ninja leave. Garmadon stood up from his chair and looked down at him. To renegades surprised, the old man did not look at him in despite, but it almost seemed like he, cared.
He had to get out of there. These people were obviously planning on using him as bate, or going to kill him. That's what he would have done in an opposite situation.
The two senseis then left the room quietly, leaving him alone with the two ninja.
