Chapter Forty

" oh no you're not!"
A kunai flew by the tall guard who was guarding the door to the main hall. The throne room.
Loud noises came from the door, and by the sound of it, 47 could tell that there was a battle going on in there, and it had to be a great one...
" be okay..." she mumbled as she knew Lloyd had to be in there...
The guard had blocked the kunai, and now was pointing his sword towards them. Two more league agents joined him by the door.
" oh I'm going to kick your ass!!!!!" Kai angrily groans and threw a fire ball at the male.
" I thought we weren't supposed to fight more!" To their surprise, a wall of stone blocked the attack and Cole pulled his mask off.
The female league agent to his right suddenly attacks the second female agent and uses a wave of water to knock her out.
" you guys!" Jey suddenly spoke, being held up by Zane who was holding a shoulder around him.
" Jey! You're alive!" The female agent threw her mask off and ran towards him, hugging him tightly.
" agh! Okay okay! I missed you to Nya.." he groans in pain, but pulls her tightly into his own body, not wanting to let go of her. He honestly had thought that Nadakhan was going to finish him off for good this time... but he was allowed to live. Why? He honestly didn't know.
" by the sound of it, you guys know each other " 47 stood behind Damon who was just watching the crew.
" know each other? We're family! Brothers! And now if you excuse me, we have another brother to save" Cole spoke, giving Jey a big hug as well. He didn't look alright, but nothing life threatening. To much had happened to him lately and that was not okay.
" where's my brother..." Damon suddenly poke, shyly looking down at his feet. He didn't know why, but he felt somehow weird about asking.
" you must be Armen's brother" Nya slowly let go of Jey and walks towards him.
" is he... alright?" Damon lifts his head to look up at her. Nya kindly strokes his hair and smiles down at him.
" he's all fine. He's back at our base, working on something that may help us. But he's out of danger, a good old friend of ours is watching over him. He wanted to come, but we thought it would be better for him to wait. He's expecting us to bring you to him." Nya told him.
Damon slowly nods. " alright... I just hope he's okay and nothing bad has happened to him"
" he's all fine, trust me. You will meet him soon."
" alright... since my brother trust you... I will too" Nya smiled down at him. Those words really hit her in the heart, warming it. This boy was just like his brother. Good on the inside, even though they grew up in this evil place. No one deserved this. Especially not them. Bye the look of it, they must be amazing the youngest of the kids around.
" alright, lets get Lloyd out by now" 47 broke in with her bored and annoyed expression.
She just wanted to save Lloyd. Her thoughts was all on him and her goal was to get him out alive. She had to...
But that wouldn't be necessary anymore, because the door suddenly flew open and a green dressed boy flew out through it, landing somewhere in the distance in the hallways.
" Lloyd!" Kai Called our and ran after him.
" watch out!" Nya yelled as she pushed Damon and 47 out of the way as the shadow lord now ran towards the direction of Lloyd.
Just when Kai has reached Lloyd, something grabbed him from behind and he felt a dark force pull him backwards.
Lloyd who had been lying on the floor for a while suddenly woke up and his eyes glowing green again.
" let go of him!" Lloyd called out towards the enemy before him.
But the shadow lord didn't listen. He pulled Kai closer to him, using a strange dark force to move him towards himself, Kai fighting desperately to escape his grip.
" he said let go!" 47 suddenly punched the dark lord, making him lose his grip on Kai.
" silly girl!" He yelled furiously at her, longing out after her.
47 managed to block some of his attacks, but failed as he was way to powerful for her. A sword wasn't really going to do much to him. Honestly, how stupid was this really,..
" don't you dare touch her!" Before the shadow lord could do anything, explosions of green light hit him before he could finish her off.
47 looked up at Lloyd in surprise as she hadn't expected him to actually save her life after everything she had put him through...
" welcome to the right side." Lloyd smiled down at her, before turning his attention back to the shadow lord who now had risen again.
47 grabbed her sword next to her and stood up, walking up next to Lloyd.
" I'm not gone let you face him alone... not anymore"
He looked at her, not knowing what to say. Was this all true? He wasn't dreaming right..? Was she really standing by his side...? Fighting evil..?
He got no more time to think because now, Kai had stood up from where he had hit the ground and was facing the shadow lord alone, raising his fist, burning in fire.
" you! You!" He yelled in anger at the dark lord,
" you.... you killed my parents! I saw it! Right now when you touched me!" Kai had no idea how it had been possible, but when the dark lord had grabbed him earlier, almost pressing all the air out of his lungs, he had suddenly seen a vision inside his head. He had no idea how, but he had seen a memory that wasn't his own, but overlords... and he had slaughtered his parents along side many others from their small village. He couldn't remember much from those days....but he remembered their parents hiding him and Nya in a dark room underground, and the next time anyone had opened the door, it had been Wu who had been standing there, and not his parents.

" Kai... don't... your hatred will only help him grow stronger... hatred is not the way to defeat an enemy..." Lloyd wanted to walk over to him, but the dark lord was prepared to attack anyone who made a move.
" he killed my parents! He deserves to burn!" Kai didn't move his eyes of their enemy.
" Kai,.. hatred will just make him stronger... don't do anything you will regret... let us defeat him the right way." Lloyd carefully speaks to Kai, trying to calm him down.
" but..." it was clearly working. Kai slowly lowered his fist. " but he killed them..." he whispered.
" and I will kill you too!" Without waiting a second, a black fire hit Kai.
" Kai!" Nya cried out as she watched the blast from the attack knock out Kai in one shot.
Lloyd sprinted as fast as he could, towards the unconscious body on the ground.
" kaiiiii!" Lloyd called out. Garmadon and Wu had finally joined the battle in the hallways, dragging the attention away from the ninja for a short time.
Lloyd reached Kai and quickly lifted him up into his arms, taking him away from the battlefield.
His suit was full of burn marks, and his jaw had gotten some burn marks too. This damage was not a good sign at all. Fire usually never hurt Kai, him being the elemental master of fire, but those black flames out there... they had burned him...
" he's alive! He's just unconscious " Nya finally confirms, drying away her tears. This has been close, but this was not a good sign. He needed treatment, but for now... they had to get him to safety.
" Armen! Armen do you hear me!?" Lloyd picked up his communicator, calling out to Armen at the base.
" Lloyd!? Is this you!? You're alive!" Armen replies, sounding overwhelmed by joy.
" I'm fine! But I need you to fly the destiny bounty to us!" Lloyd told him. Armen wasn't sure why, but he knew by the sound of Lloyd's voice that there was no time for asking questions, and therefore agreed and ran up to the control room, starting up the ship, putting down the coordinates to the base.
" I'm coming!" He yelled into his communicator and hung up.

47 had been watching this whole time. She was sitting right next to Lloyd just watching the red ninja.
She remembered the first time she had encountered him... it was back at the old house, leading them to the catacombs underneath ninjago city. They had fought each other for a short while...
But she couldn't help it but wanting to place her hand on him... it was like something was calling her to do it... it was stupid... why would she do anything as stupid as that... how could she do anything? She was the only one of their teammates who didn't have powers... or.....
Without thinking straight, she slowly reaches out her hand and places it onto Kai's chest.
This was stupid...
She closed her eyes, just, trying to relax...
This was stupid...
she felt a warm waves run through her veins and into her arm...
" ( your/name) h...h... how..." Lloyd suddenly spoke, shocked to see what he had just witnessed.
" I ... I ...don't know..."
