Robin

Regina twisted her hands nervously and sucked in a breath as she stared down the entrance to Granny's. Our big announcement was one that she was dreading, but unfortunately it was growing harder and harder to keep with her growing waistline. Our own children were even unaware, and I could tell that Regina was most anxious about how her son would react.

"It will be okay, your family loves you and they'll be overjoyed. I doubt anyone will give you any trouble." I tried to convince, but she just stuck her gloved hands into her coat pockets. "I have enemies..." She shuddered, but I shook my head and pulled her closer to me.

"None of them are in there." I said with a smirk, watching her exhale and nod at me, motioning for us to enter the diner where these family dinners had become more and more frequent.

The diner was warm and vibrant, a contrast to the sleeting weather that had begun outside. I watched my soulmate swallow her nerves and greet her family, giving abrupt side hugs, something she had resorted to in result to her growing middle, nobody was allowed to hug the queen from the front.

Henry was already perched at the counter with a cold, fizzing soda in his cup. I exhaled and began my own greetings, watching Roland rush over and slam into Regina's arms, pulling her tight. I noticed her eyes grow as his little arms struggled to wrap around her waist. I chuckled and rushed to her side, gently placing a hand on her back to gesture our announcement. She sighed and carefully peeled my son off of her and simply clutched his hand.

"Excuse us! Hi!" I shouted, getting the room to quiet down. Snow raised her eyebrow with mischief and smiled, quieting the stragglers down so I could proceed. "Regina and I just wanted to announce something." I said with a smile, watching Regina exhale and clutch my hand.

"We are having a baby." She announced, her cheeks blushing instantly as her family began to cheer and congratulate us. Snow instantly rushed up to her and embraced her in a tight hug while David and Killian shook my hand with a wink.

"They should be here in late November." She beamed, crouching Down to try and explain to Roland, but she kept getting interrupted with well wishes. I could see her eyes scanning the room for her son, and judging by his absence, her worst fear was coming true.

"Okay all! Thank you so much, but we still want dinner, so let's just get on with that." I chuckled, allowing Regina to step back from the crowd and race towards me with worry.

"Henry, I need to talk to him." She urged, looking into the group of people, catching Emma's eye, who motioned towards the back door which led out to the porch.

Regina exhaled and looked at me, motioning towards the similar spot. "I need to do this on my own." She said nervously, her hands moving from mine to her middle. "Okay, I'll wait for you here. If you need me just holler." I winked, watching her nod and wander outside.

Regina

I slipped my black leather gloves onto my hands and walked out onto the illuminated porch with tables, a beautiful spot that was rarely used due to the weather. My son was perched on the step, picking at the skin on his thumb, not acknowledging me as I carefully took a seat beside him.

"Hi." I managed, watching him keep his eyes down on his hands, his silence deafening. "Look, I know it's some big news and it can come as a shock to you and Roland." I began, but he just shook his head at me and chewed on his lip, I glanced a bit closer and saw that his vibrant green eyes were filled with tears.

"Henry?" I tried, but he carefully shook me off, scooting a space away from me, panic setting in. "I suspected you were pregnant. I heard you talking to Emma the other night. How if you ever had another baby you'd raise them right. What was so wrong with me that you needed another one? Even when you talk to Roland, you're different- are they the kids you wish you had?!" He cried, tears falling down his cheeks, breaking my heart completely. I had worked so hard to prevent tears from falling down his perfect face. I could have kicked myself for having that hormone induced conversation with Emma so openly.

"Henry." I began, scooting towards him, brushing his thick, auburn hair back, carefully wiping one of the tears that had induced some of my own. "Henry Daniel Mills, you are my entire world. We were our own little team and family way before any of this happened, and I wouldn't change that for the world." I began, but he just pinched his eyes shut and let some more tears roll out.

"But what I said is true, but it didn't have anything to do with you or how you turned out." I promised, he finally opened his eyes and looked over at me, now intrigued to hear the rest. This time I had tears running down my own cheeks, the cold piercing them.

"As much as we were our own little team, I was bad at mothering. I was so afraid of losing you that I drove you away, I made you think that you were crazy. I was so insecure when Emma came to town that I put you and your safety in danger. My own mother wasn't very good at raising me, and I'm just afraid that if this baby is a girl, I may not be any good at it. And sometimes I worry that I did more damage with you, and if your life would've been better if I was a better mom. But nothing is wrong with you, Henry." I now wept, ashamed that I had let him down so severely.

I felt a hand grip mine and squeeze it, my son blinking tears away. "You didn't fail me, and I'm the luckiest kid in the world to call you my mother. You loved me when nobody else in this world did. So you don't have to worry about having this baby, because you're the best mom there is." He smiled, I couldn't help but weep and pull my son into an embrace, disregarding the fact that he was almost a head taller than me.

Robin

I smiled as Regina and her son walked into the diner arm in arm, a grin plastered on her face, along with red swollen eyes and tear marks. "Hello there." I smirked, pulling her into my embrace, my hands resting on the tiny curve of her figure that we had gotten so excited about.

"Regina!" Roland cried, racing past a smiling Henry who had a gift bag for his mother, my son barreling into Regina's arms. I watched how she squeezed him a second longer than normal, pressing a kiss into his curls before waving her son over.

"Listen boys, you're going to be big brothers, and that's so exciting, but I just want you both to know how much you mean to Robin and I. We love you." She stated proudly, looking up at me with a new glimmer in her eyes, and an excitement for what is to come in the future.
