If you are a new reader, thank you for checking this book out. I am going to try not to make you wait a year in between chapters. I am currently focusing on this story so the goal is to not make anyone wait another year for a new chapter. ANYWAYS happy reading!

The locations they chose to investigate didn't turn up anything. Most of those they interviewed had moved due to their jobs or because they wanted something a little quieter. The lack of progress added to Bex's frustrations.
Spencer had joined her this time. He helped her narrow down their list of potential suspects based on their location. He still felt guilty about making her upset so he wanted to be able to help her as much as he could. It just seemed that today just wasn't their day.
Bex was going crazy in her hotel room. Jennifer was face timing with her boys so she grabbed her phone and room key. "Going for a walk." She mouthed towards Jennifer as she motioned towards the door.
Jennifer just nodded and waved before going back to listening to the story Henry was telling her.
"Can you talk?" Bex texted MIke as she started on her walk. Within seconds her phone began to ring. "Well, I guess I should take that as a yes." She laughed as she answered the phone.
"Just left the office. How'd the search go?"
Bex sighed. "Not as well as I would have liked."
"I'm sorry, Bex but I know you'll get them. I actually have a question for you. You up for it?" He asked.
"I'm up for anything besides this case, honestly."
"Okay, so this investigation to these explosions has gotten pretty crazy, so I was just wondering if you knew anything about Anthony Onofrio? He's been acting a little off lately."
"Anthony Onofrio? He's the other agent looking at this from a terrorist perspective, right?"
"Yeah."
"Have you checked if his name has ever shown up in any reports? I didn't really work with counter terroism. I'm sorry. I could maybe get Penelope to look into him and send you what she finds?" She offered, hoping that her friend would say yes. She was worried about Mike's safety if this agent was now acting weird. Would he blow Mike's cover? Would he leave Mike stranded if things got tough?
"You don't mind?" He asked, oblivious to Bex's worries.
"Not at all. That might take her like five seconds. You'll have it first thing in the morning."
"That would be amazing." He smiled even though she couldn't see it. "Is there anything I could do for you from DC?"
She let out a humorless chuckle. "Yeah, don't let them pack up my desk just yet because I have a feeling I'll be with organized crime for at least another two years."
