Reports were handed in and due to lack of evidence neither Red nor Onofrio were charged with anything in regards to the missing intern, attorney, or senator. Mike officially left Gareth behind, appointing the person who worked directly under him as the new chief of staff. Onofrio was officially placed on desk duty, however, and Blades asked Bex if he could ever call her if he needed help on a case. She agreed happily.

"Well, you two can now officially add saved the world to your resumes." Marchant chuckled as he spoke with Mike and Bex. "I know you both have put in for some vacation time and rightfully deserved but before you leave, the bureau would like to hold a medal ceremony for the great work you both have provided."

The two agents looked at each other in shock before turning back to the director. "Sir, in the end we really didn't do all that much." Mike spoke up.

"Yeah, the whole thing kind of ended anti-climatically." Bex agreed.

Marchant shrugged. "That's not how the bureau sees it. So smile, be grateful and enjoy the free booze before you go on vacation."

"Do we at least get to know what we're being awarded for?" Mike asked.

The director nodded. "Agent Warren, you are being awarded with the FBI Shield of Bravery for your undercover work with the leader of this potential attack. And Agent Morris, you are being awarded with the FBI Medal for Meritorious Achievement for your assistance in protecting and saving not only the many lives of the DC area but of the United States."

Bex couldn't help but to laugh just a little. "I'm sorry but I would have thought that the Bureau would have wanted to sweep Space Bugs under the rug."

"Oh, they do." Marchant said. "Which is why the ceremony is need to know, so feel free to invite your informants. Public knowledge, however, is that Agent Warren's is long overdue for his time in California, and yours, Agent Morris, is for stopping the Capello's."

The agents both shrugged, a little impressed with the lengths they were going to keep things hidden. "Then we'll see ya at the ceremony." Mike said as he stood.

"Yes, go rest. Once you both get back from vacation you'll get your next assignment." Marchant said, dismissing the pair.

The moment they stepped outside of the office building, the couple looked at each other and burst into a fit of giggles. They couldn't believe it. The whole situation was absolutely absurd. "I can't believe this is what we're getting honored for." Bex said which caused a whole other round of laughter as they tried to walk to their cars.

They stumbled into each other as they tried to settle down but they would look at each other again and continue to laugh. They were really causing a scene but they didn't care about the looks they received as people walked by. It actually fueled their laughter even more. Oh, if only they knew.

"You know what we haven't done yet?" Mike asked when their fits of laughter ceased.

"What?" She asked, looking up at him.

"Celebratory -"

"Milkshakes." Bex finished with him as she came to the same conclusion. "Well, what are we waiting for? We have the rest of the day off."

Mike chuckled. "I'll go pick up the shakes. You go grab us a spot at the park." He kissed her sweetly once she agreed.

Bex chose the same spot she did when they celebrated getting the Capello's to sign on for their makeshift bank. A small smile never left her face as she enjoyed the sun's warmth. She wished she wasn't wearing a pantsuit but there would be time for a proper sun bath in her near future. She was able to take her blazer off and use it as a pillow though. Dry cleaning was a god send.
