Bex and Rochelle looked at one another after Gustav and Laurel stormed off. Laurel had just quit their investigation and no one was really happy about it. There was something else going on and Bex couldn't quite place what was happening with Laurel. All she knew was that she was losing her top witness.
"Wanna go get a coffee?" Rochelle asked.
Bex laughed. "I would love one."
The two women sat outside at the closest cafe. Both hadn't really said anything of importance, just basic small talk until they ordered their drinks. They sipped on their beverages as they watched the passerbys, trying to process all that happened. "Do you really think the CIA is in on this?" Rochelle finally asked.
Bex shook her head as she took another sip of her drink. "If they were we would have been working with them from the get go. I'd have to share everything and get scraps in return. I don't believe it for one second."
"Then what are you gonna do?"
The agent shrugged. "Well, my top witness just bailed so I've got to regroup. I would still like to work with you and Gustav, though, if he isn't off doing his own lone wolf thing. Now that Gareth's in on it as well we should still be able to get inside information. And I mean I've not called in my favor with Luke yet."
"I'm glad to hear you're not giving up then."
"Never." Bex promised.
"Let me know how I can help then." Rochelle smiled.
They went back to a companionable silence while they finished their drinks. "Wait, do you really have a boyfriend?" Bex asked, causing Rochelle to laugh.
"I do actually. He's on Hillary's campaign team so he's travelling a lot right now."
Bex laughed. "Well, I'll be damned. Do you have a picture? I want to see how sickenly cute you two must be." She teased as she noticed Rochelle's bashful look.
The doctor pulled up her phone and soon was sharing various photos. The last one being of her, her boyfriend and her dad. Her dad was looking at the couple so proud. Rochelle let out a heavy sigh and Bex reached over to give the other woman's hand a squeeze. "We're going to stop them. I give you my word."
Rochelle looked up to see the determination in Bex's eyes. "Is this why you became an agent?"
Bex nodded. "The last case I just wrapped was the case I like to call my first one even though it's not official. One of the killer's first victims was my younger sister and now all these years later I've finally closed it. I became an agent because of the agents that were there for my family and because I never wanted anyone else to know the pain me or my family knew. So when I say I promise you that we are gonna stop these bugs from ruining anymore lives, I mean it even if that is seriously one of the craziest promises I've ever made when working a case."
The doctor chuckled. "Yeah, I honestly still can't believe that this is all real." Her phone then buzzed, a message asking when she would be in the office since she was needed for a consult at the hospital. "Duty calls." She smiled standing before wrapping Bex in a hug. "Thank you."
The agent easily returned the embrace. "Of course. Call if you need anything."

Laurel is leaving in a week. She got the money for her documentary.
I've now got to write everything for Red to say during his committee meetings.
I want this to be over already.
Lunch?
Bex looked down at her phone as text after text from Mike came in. She couldn't help but to laugh as she responded that she would meet him outside the Capitol building.
