                                                              Chapter 19

                                                            My Protector       

                        

                                        We all were sitting in Aadi's Audi. The environment of the car was pretty tense. I am sure everybody was still not sure why I had invited Nish into our group outing but I couldn’t just leave him alone in the house while I had fun with my friends. He had been there for me when nobody was there for me.

                                         I hadn’t told anybody that I had realized that I had fallen for Nish. I knew I had to tell Clar and rats eventually but I just wasn’t ready for it. I wanted to understand my own true feelings before letting anybody else know.

                                          This afternoon, we first went to a restaurant where Aadi gave me a treat, to have our lunch before we proceeded towards my surprise.

                                     We were sitting in the car for about three hours now and I still couldn’t guess where we were going. There had been an awkward silence which was suffocating me. Finally Afreen started talking to Nish and rats started to talk to me which helped the situation. Clar and Aadi were having quality time in front.

                                   During the long car ride I realized a couple of things. Firstly, Aadi was loaded. I'm surprised I hadn’t noticed it earlier. How else could he rent an apartment in Astra alone when Rats, Clar I had to share one to save money? I also realized that Nish was pretty loaded too. I don’t remember him being this rich before he left......hmm why do I feel like I'm missing something? Like something is right front of my eyes and I can’t see it?

I was pulled out of my thoughts as the car stopped.

"Look, we're here" Aadi said

"Took you long enough" I said irritated

"Look outside instead of complaining dumbass!" Aadi said
