“Oh my god I hate my life! This can’t be happening to me! What sins have I committed to see such a day!” rats yelled panicked
“It’s just a lock of hair rats! Stop overreacting!”
“I never overreact. But what will happen now? I can’t bear this!”
“Get a hold on yourself women! Wait; let me do your hair”
I said and forced her to sit by the dressing table
“I’ll do the makeup” clar said in an extremely calm matter
“Please don’t apply a lot of makeup I don’t want him to think that I’ve overdone it”
“Chill female!” clar said, and we all silently got to work, it was ten in the bright Saturday morning and we three were getting an overexcited Tara ready for her date.
“Guys…I’m nervous”
“We know you are sweetie, trust me everything will be perfect” I said
“But what if I spoil it?” rats said nervously
“You won’t” clar said
“How do you know that?”
“I just know. Okay?”
“Thank you guys, for bearing with me”
“Hey! I knew you were this crazy before being friends with you “I said shoving the last pin in her hair
She stood up examining herself, she was wearing a yellow dress a bit low cut it came down till her mid thigh, a sweet bangle with round earrings. And she had fabulous red and white check heels. Her hair was up in a ponytail with a little poof and she had light makeup applied on her face.ahe had a brownish purse which perfectly went with the dress. She grinned wide at the mirror.
“You are looking awesome” I complemented
“I didn’t know you were capable of looking so good” clar said and I lightly slapped her arm while rats glared at her and clar gave her a cute grin.
The doorbell rang and I rushed to the door and there stood Afreen looking handsome in a light brown button up shirt and black jeans, I smiled at him which he returned with a nervous smile
“So you are gonna take my best friend on a date huh?” I mocked being stern
“Apparently” he said
“Respect her and if I hear you hurt her you’ll be dead before you say halleluiah” I said narrowing my eyes while it took everything in me not to laugh at his expression
“You bring her back before eight “I concluded
“Yes ma’am and I’ll never hurt her” he replied as I grinned wide
“RATS!” I yelled as she came out glaring at me …I was confused till I realized what I had done
I called her rats in front of her date…hehe
“Sorry” I grinned sheepishly
Afreen smiled sweetly at rats and all her anger subsided as they walked out of the house
“Best of luck” clar yelled
“Have fun kids!” I yelled and we finally closed the door.
“(sigh) kids are growing g up huh?” I pretended to be like my mother
“Yes they are!” clar chirped
“So what now?”
“I gotta go in ten minutes”
“Where?”
“Gotta go meet mom dad”
“You guys make me feel bad that I’m not meeting them”
“Hey! You really can’t they stay really far
“I know” I said and sighed
We chatted for sometime till it was time for her to go
“I’ll come back by the evening”
“Of course u naughty girl! All set for the JMB party!”
“Oh how can I miss it? It’s a heaven for single ladies, you should come too”
I smiled but his face came into mind I know it was childish idiotic but it felt like I would be betraying him
“Nah I don’t think I’ll be able to come”
“Why not?”
“I just don’t feel like it yaar”
“Tell me if you change your mind”
“Sure I will”
“Fine then I got to go now bye M”
“Bye clar” I waved as she purse and skipped off
I closed the door and that’s when it hit me, I was all alone in the house.
I sighed and decided to bath first. My tensed muscles relaxed as the hot water hit me, my thoughts went to him. What happened last night replayed through my mind and I surprised myself this morning by refusing a JMB party for a guy who broke my heart, what was happening to me?
After my refreshing bath, I did my version of body slam into the couch and switched on the TV, ‘everybody loves Raymond’ was playing
“I love this show!” I said to myself
“me2!” an excited voice replied to me from my left
“Aaah” I yelled and started fluttering my hands and legs trying to hit the person who scared the crap out of me
“WOAH CHILL M ITS JUST ME!” Aadi yelled at me holding my hands with one hand of his trying to defend himself.
“WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE” I yelled back
“I WAS BORED SO I CAME HERE TO TALK TO YOU GUYS BUT THEN I SAW THAT NO ONES HOME I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE WHEN I HEARD THE SHOWER AND WAITED” he yelled back
“OKAY”I yelled
“WHY ARE WE STILL YELLING?” he yelled
“I DON’T KNOW” I yelled
“Fine then no yelling” he said
“Agreed”
“So why so bored?”
