Chapter 23
Peace…Finally!
“You ready may?” he asked me
“Yup! Just one doubt” I said frowning at myself in the mirror
“What doubt?” he asked as he entered the room
“Should I wear the green necklace or the red one?” I asked him. He slowly walked towards me and stood behind me looking at the mirror.
“Red…it goes with your eye color” he said smiling at the mirror
“Okay. Then we’re good to go.” I said starting to turn around
“Wait!” he said suddenly holding my shoulders.
“What happened?” I asked. He then pulled off my rubber-band from my hair
“W…what did you?”
“Let your hair loose sometimes…you look better with your hair down” he said lightly running his fingers through my hair setting my hair right. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
“Can we go now?” I asked
“Sure bestie!” he said and we walked out of our apartment.
It had been three months since the fight in the park. Since the conversation in the hospital. Since Nish and I became friends again. Since my life became amazing again. Nish had completely recovered now.
Aadi and Clar weren’t upset with me anymore…except for the fact that Nish was a part of the group now. God knows why Aadi hated Nish. It was pretty irritating. But I think the situation was becoming better day by day. I still lived with Nish. We all were going out tonight. Tonight would be out last outing in this month as our semester exams would start in a weeks’ time and end in the first week of the next month.
“Hey guys!” Nish said asked and the rest of our group members replied with smiling faces. We were all standing near Aadi’s car where we were supposed to gather.
“Where’s Clar?” I asked
“Getting ready.” Aadi replied
“Then what are you doing here?” I asked scrunching up my eyebrows together
“What do you think? I’m waiting for her” he replied a bit rudely. This made me wonder if they had had a fight or something. This surprised me because they had stuck together like white on rice since the time they started dating. Well I think I’ll just have to ask Clar about it. I don’t think it’s something that serious. It can’t be right?
“Okay guys sorry to make you wait” Clar said as she made her way to her boyfriend’s car. We all quickly got into the car and rode off.
“Please baby? I’m sorry” Clar whispered to Aadi a few minutes later. Then Aadi smiled and took her hand in his and they smiled at each other. I smiled looking at them. I loved watching love birds. I would be lying if I’d say that I don’t believe in love…because I do. In fact I am in love with the concept of love. Love is the most beautiful feeling in the world, it gives you wings. You feel like you are the luckiest person in the world. The world just seems like a happy place. You never get tired of thinking about the person you love. You day dream about the moments you would share with your beloved. It makes your simple life a fairytale. I always believed in love…I just knew it was never meant for me. It wasn’t in my fate but I just had to live with it
