Ianthe (e-on-thee) is the daughter of Osier, Elder to the Periplanómenos, or wandering Rank of the Terra Mages. She is one of the young mages fortunate enough to have been gifted with a Dýnami Zoís. Her mother's name is unknown to Ianthe, as she has been told by her father and other Mages that she passed when she was only a child.
Ianthe has a great love for all thinks magic, crystals, and nature, a given to most Terra Mages. Though the young mage is a bit plumper than most, short in stature and meek in spirit, her will is strong and she knows when to stand up for what she believes is right. Her magic, as with most other Terra Mages, derives from the forest and the earth. An unusual aspect that she possesses is that her eyes glow a glittering yellow and bright white markings etch on to her skin whenever she utters her spells and enchantments. For Terra Mages this is most peculiar, as their eyes glow white or green, and the markings on their skin are like branches, not taking the form of lightning as with Ianthe. Osier had explained that this form of markings and eye-coloring came from her mother, yet he has refused to go into detail about this with Ianthe for the time being.

So when Gandalf comes to her cottage and claims to be in need of a guide and protector, she jumps at the opportunity. However the thought of leaving behind her father makes her doubt herself and her intentions. Ianthe's father is sure to reassure her that everything will be fine, and after some persuading it isn't long before she's packing up again and sent on her way to the Shire. There the young Mage meets the one and only Thorin Oakenshield, the fierce dwarf who battled Azog with nothing but an oak branch. Later she meets his two nephews, Fili and Kili, and for some reason she can't help but be drawn in by the young brunette prince. How does Ianthe cope with these new feelings for the dwarf, and how will the two of them grow closer together during this perilous journey?
