3'rd Person POV
One thing Y/N Y/L/N wasn't sure of was why she had liked Jack Dunkleman,it never made sense to her but it kind of just happened. She had known him since the both of them were eight and ever since all she could think about is that he was absolutely in love with Jodi Kreyman. The worst part was it wasn't some silly crush he had liked her ever since they had met and to her it was a living reminder that she was not good enough.
To her it was another week of school for her but boy was she wrong. She got up out of her bed and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth before she was late for school,it was a Monday her personal least favourite day of the week and for once in her life she wanted to start the week off on a high note. She quickly brushed her teeth, washed her face and brushed her hair before getting changed and heading out of the front door with her backpack.
''Hello there.''A voice called from behind her.
She turned around to face the one and only Jack Dunkleman.
''Hi milk crate.''She said with a smile.
''Haha,Very funny.''He said with a sarcastic laugh.
He peddled faster on the bike he was on till the movement of his bike synced with her footsteps.
''What class do you have first?''He asked her.
''Chemistry.''She said with a groan.
''Well I have Chemistry with Jodi.''Jack said jokingly.
The smile which was on her face faltered slightly but he didn't seem to notice.
''Well I've got to go,I can't be late to school it's a Monday.''She said quickening up her pace.
''Wait.''He called after her.
She turned to face him.
''I made you a smoothie.''He said reaching into the milk crate he used to carry his books and passed her the strawberry smoothie he usually gave to Jodie.
''Thanks.''She said taking a sip.
''Do you need a ride?''He asked her.
''I'm fine.''She said putting the smoothie he made for her into her bag.
She continued to walk to school with him loosely riding his bike behind her.She did have to admit this was most attention she had,had from him in years regardless of them being friends he would always talk about Jodi any chance he got and would constantly ask her out to the point that it was too frustrating even for Jack and he was incredibly persistent.
The one thing she couldn't understand about him was why he carried that milk crate around with him everywhere. She didn't dare ask him why but had always wondered and she wasn't the only one.The milk crate had given him the title of the school weirdo.
Once Y/N had arrived at school she met up with Jodie who had just finished her morning visit to the library to finish her assigned reading. She quite liked the book and would inform Y/N about the details when she could.
This morning was different however as Jodi looked glum which wasn't normal for her, sure she would self degrade herself but what teenager doesn't and everyone knows that Jodi Kreyman was a morning person.
''How was the library?''You asked her.
''It was fine.''She said with a sigh.
