3'rd Person POV
You walked to school and for the first time Jack wasn't in sight he had been avoiding you for a week and it was really annoying you.It was bad enough already that he didn't like you but now you knew that he knew that you liked him and he definitely didn't feel the same way you did.Yesterday was the last time you saw him,that was until Chemistry today.
''Good mornin'.Hi. So David Blaine called me, you'll never believe it. He wants to know when you and I will make magic together.''He said to Jodi.
''You do this every day. Dunkleman, it's never gonna happen.''Jodi said.
''I made you a smoothie.''He said pulling the strawberry smoothie he usually gave to her out of his milk crate.
''Okay, it would be weird. We've known each other for so long, and dating a guy who's shorter than me would just draw more attention to how much of a freak I am.''Jodi said.
''Wait, but half the guys in this school are shorter than you are.''Jack said.
''Hence my conundrum.''Jodi said walking away from him.
''Oh, ho, ho. I would love nothing more than to hence your conundrum. All I'm saying is let your freak flag fly. Date a short guy. Wear high heels Do something crazy.''He said following her.
''They don't make heels in size 13 men's. Even if they did, I wouldn't wear them.''She said.
''Look, I know I don't have everything on your perfect boyfriend checklist, okay? But, you know, I'd be willing to bet I'm clocking in at around... 70%. Yeah, I mean, 60%. Mm... Fifty percent?''He said.
It's a very specific checklist.''She said walking away from him again.
''I just think it's crazy you won't go out with me just 'cause what? You think that at any moment, some taller-than-you, funny, intelligent, nice, perfect guy is just gonna walk through that door? I mean, that's...Come on. That's crazy.''Jack said but as he did the door opened to reveal two blonde boys.
Both Y/N's and Jodi's heart stopped as they stared at the boys infront of them.One of the boys looked at Y/N and smiled in her direction,she smiled back.
''Okay, class, listen up.''The teacher said but Y/N wasn't listening she was to busy starring at the boy with blonde hair and brown eyes.
''He's perfect, yeah. He didn't even look at me, okay. It's the first time in my life that I've ever wanted someone to look at me, and he doesn't.''Jodi complained.
''Because to him, you're not a tall girl.''Fareeda said.
''I'm not?''Jodi asked confused.
''Jodi, the dude's from Sweden. It's an entire country filled with giants. To him, you're just another girl.''Fareeda said.
''Y/N your staring.''Jodi said as you tilted your head slightly to admire him.The blonde boy who had walked after Stig in chemistry.
You turned a bright shade of pink.
''Don't look now but he's staring back.''Fareeda said.
Both you and Jodi turned to face him he immediately turned back around.
''I said don't look.''Fareeda said and you immediately turned back around.
''Jodi, Jodi, Jodi. Look, all right. I know you want to date some guy that's, like, taller than you and stuff, but if you think about it, there could be some major consequences. You know, it could backfire big-time.''Jack said rushing over to all of you.
''Okay, backfire how?''Jodi asked.
''I'm glad you asked. Let me paint you a word picture. How long is this picture gonna take? Just let me do my thing. So, let's say that you and Stig date, okay? You, uh, fall in love, stick together through college, down the line you get married, have a baby. And the combined strength of your tall gene and his tall gene creates a zygote in your belly the size of an above-average sized watermelon. Okay? So that would mean that that puppy's coming out Caesarean. Through the side door.Do you really wanna go through the rest your life with a big, old scar on that beautiful torso of yours, 'cause, you know, it's what you're asking for.''Jack said with a happy smile on his face.
''He makes a valid point.''Fareeda agreed.
''Jodi don't listen to them,I'm sure he'll like you back and if not he'll have to deal with Kimmy Stitcher all of his life.''You said which made everyone laugh.
''I'm sure the guy you like will like you too.''Jodi said which made you look down and smile slightly.
''Wait,you like someone?''Jack asked which made you blush and pull a strand of hair away from your face.
You nodded.
''Who do you like?What's his name?Do I know him?''Jack asked as his heart dropped to his stomach.
''Well it's obvious he likes you back he was full on staring at you.''Fareeda said ignoring Jack.
Jack tried to wash away the feeling of emptiness in the pit of his stomach as he watched Y/N look at another guy and couldn't help but wish she looked at him like that.He tried to brush the feeling that the feeling was a phase and he liked Jodi and this was about her and Stig.
