The cafeteria was big with beige colored walls and a high ceiling. It could have been compared to the huge architectural churches that were created in the Renaissance time if there would have been a dome instead. A few tables were scattered throughout on one side and on the other there was a line for food. Despite how old the building and the lunchroom looked, I was satisfied and relieved that the food was modern and healthy. There was a cold bagel and cream cheese spread on my plate with a lemonade bottle.

Ariana had led me to an area where it seemed that two tables had been joined together. There were about seven people at the table.

"Is this the new girl?" A guy spoke up. I looked over to see who owned the voice and it was a kid with light brown hair, with bright brown eyes. He met my eyes and I looked away toward Ariana.

"Yes, and her name is Casey so let's not exclude her." Ariana responded as she took a seat next to him. He draped his shoulder over her body and leaned over to kiss her cheek. "This is Madison."

He nodded at me so I took a seat across from Ariana, feeling eyes from all over the cafeteria on me. "You know who you look like?" A girl with hazel colored hair pressed, taking a bite of her apple and tilting her head slightly.

"Stop it, Rachel."

"What?" Rachel said as she swallowed the piece. "It's just a big day. I wasn't expecting Nick, but THIS... this is creepy. I like it."

"You liking creepy things is what's actually creepy," a tan toned guy spoke up. He was sitting next to Rachel and when he caught my eye he nodded, the same gesture Madison gave me. "Mikey."

Ariana sighed as she buried her face into the palms of her hands. As she moved her hands and rubbed her temple, she gave me a small smile. "My friends are weird. You've been introduced to Madison, Rachel and Mikey and those two are Bella and Jason." I looked over to find a blonde girl with natural dark brown hair smile at me and a boy with light brown hair raise his hand while he focused on drinking his energy drink. Him and Madison were the only ones in football jerseys, black with white numbers on the front. Well, those were pretty depressing colors for a school.

"And coming right this way is your doppelganger friend, Nick." Rachel snickered as she hid the curve of her smirking lips behind the mouth of a water bottle. He came on the other side and stood almost across from me, and I couldn't help but stare.

I remembered the picture that I had seen of Luke just a period before this. And he looked so alike. I knew he caught me staring and I knew I should have looked away sooner than I actually did. A lot sooner. How embarrassing.

And also, I shouldn't be one to judge because everybody else was looking at me the same way.

"I'm guessing one of you told her," he said as he looked at Ariana.

"It's weird isn't it?" She giggled as she stared on from me to Nick. I was pretty sure our table wasn't the only one doing this. We were the talk of the cafeteria and the school. "It's like something popping out of a book or a movie."

A movie that wasn't my own, yet I was living it.

After a moment of silence fell, Nick placed his hand on Mikey's shoulder. "We have to leave now if we want to make it to Vogel's. The project's due tomorrow and her place is a ten minute drive from here."

Mikey nodded before packing his things and getting up. "See ya'll later," he said.

And Nick, his lighter eyes met mine for just a brief second but in that second, I noticed a lighter shimmer in his irises before they softened.

My bagel remained untouched when the bell rang.
