Chapter 2 (Ally)

I wake to the blaring sound of my alarm clock flashing 7:00 am in blaring red numbers. I push my hand down on top and roll over pulling my sheets above my head. The sun finally seeps in so I take them off and walk across the plush carpet and into my shower. I rinse my hair under the water letting it get soaked. I jump out of the shower, drying my hair. I wrap it around my body and step out into my bedroom sifting through my wardrobes "I've got nothing to wear, I need to go to the mall the afternoon!" I mutter to myself. I finally pick out a high-waist black mini skirt and a silk pink tank top. I grab a pair of white converse with colourful hearts and slip them on. I go back into the bath room and blow dry my hair, clipping up the front part. I grab out my makeup and start applying. Placing everything away I close the door to the bathroom and head downstairs.
As I enter the kitchen mum's smiling face greets me "Hello darling, you ready for your first day of high school?" "I guess, I'm excited and nervous at the time." She places a bowl of porridge in front of me, "That's totally normal." I eat up and then place it into the sink. I start moving around the kitchen picking up bits and pieces for lunch and chuck them in my aqua and white flowered backpack. Slinging it on my shoulder I place a peck on mums cheek, "Good bye!" "Have a good day sweetie" She places a kiss on my forehead. I walk across the pavement and across the road I till I reach Evatt Lane where I walk down until I get to the school gates, here goes anything.
I meet up with all my friends hugging and gossiping all asking the same question 'What did you do over the holidays?' 'Are you nervous?' I walk over to Carla who has just enter and give her a big hug I ask her how her holidays went and she stares at her feet.
