Chapter 5 | Battle trial

"Y/n? What is your shoesize" Momo asks as she is making a second pair of boots. Her quirk allows her to create non-living things. She seems like a highly intelligent and tactical person. Again you feel lucky to have her on your team. She is a definite asset and the fight will be going so much more smoothly because of her. Though you don't know her very well at all your confident in her and you two as a team just from the short tactical conversation you had before the first battle.

"y/ss". You reply as you look around the room thinking the plan over once more.

She hands you a pair of boots that look a lot like the ones you're already wearing. Slipping yours off and pulling the new ones on you test the feel of them. "They fit perfectly! I'm gonna have to keep these" you kick one foot out admiring Momos handy work. She smiles at you appreciatively and gives you a shy thanks.

Reevaluating the plan and seeking Momo work on the shoes ignited a light in your brain. "Could you make an extra pair, I think I just got an idea." Her expression changes to serious again giving you a quick nod as she starts working on another set.

She hands you a second pair and puts her own on. "You got enough energy for the last items as well?" You're unsure how much her body can take and really don't want to chance it if the plan goes sideways.

"I'm sure! Your turn" she says confidently getting to her feet to start working on her next items for the mission.

You empty one of your seed-pouches in your hand and start spreading them all over the room where the bomb is being held. After circling the room you place your hands on the floor and transfer some of you energy to every single seed. You hear Momos quiet gasp as the whole floor beings to turn green with grass. "This should be enough." you look around to make sure you don't miss any spots.

"This is amazing y/n!" her genuine admiration heavy on her voice making you blush a bit. You plant quirk is beautiful and always pulls the crowd. Everyone loves to see life created even if it is something as simple as grass.

"Thanks" Shyly you reply to her compliment. You reach out for the blanket she extends to you. "Let's do this!" Balling up one fist you bump it with hers as you part ways for now.

"BEGIN!" You hear All Mights booming voice through the earpiece.

Denki and Jiro enter the building and slowly make their way forward. They have agreed to go in as stealthy as possible. Kyoka motions to her partner to stop as she pushes one of her jacks into the concrete wall. She signals to Denki holding 2 fingers up then making a walking motion. Turning her attention to wall again then points up and shows 3 fingers.

Starting to make their way up the stairs towards the third floor. Check the walls again every so often to make sure the situation is unchanged. She gives Denki a thumbs up when it's clear to advance again.

You move as quietly as you can around the third floor while still making enough noise to attract the two heroes. The extra pair of boots Momo made for you are walking beside you seemingly on their own. Keeping your ears keen trying to detect when they will be approaching. From time to time the look on Bakuougs face sneaks into your mind. A small part of you hope his and Todorokis eyes are on you. Before this thought gets too distracting you force it down.

Letting you earth quirk inform you on what is going on you fell the two heroes approaching the top of the stairs to the third floor where you are walking around.

They're close. I hope Momo is ready.

You leave the shoes inside the door of the room just before the one where Momo is. It should be in an angle so they won't see her or the grass. Hoping Jiro is not checking the wall right now you quietly make you way back to the previous room in the hall. Bracing yourself you wait for the opposing team to make their entrance.

Their footsteps are coming closer. You've planted a palm on the wall to extend your quirk for a more precise reading on their location. Glanzing out you see Jiro passing the door to the room you're in and Denki pausing his step at the perfect place. They haven't spotted you.
