The next morning you jog to the entrance and to your surprise there is no Bakugou waiting for you. You wait around a few minutes and end up running to the training grounds to find him running laps there.

"You're late" he says not even winded.

"Sorry I thought we were meeting at the entrance." No time like the presence you run at him starting the training at once. He narrowly blocks you and you semi land a kick to his side.

Following with a hit combo he is starting to catch on with the program. You land almost all you hits. He has far too many opening and takes stupid chances to try and get hits on you. His instincts are not bad but he definitely needs work.

He snarls in frustration as you dodge all his advances. Bending down and low sweeping him off his feet you slam your heel into his chest as he lands back first on the ground. You're both panting with the effort.

"You got slobby form, predictable fight pattern, too many openings and you're too slow." you say flatly. Reaching out your hand to help him up he bats it away getting up on his own.

"Again" he says and lets you go first. This time he is blocking more than before. He is learning but you still get in most of your hits using diversion tactics to feign where you're gonna hit. You want to see him as he was at the battle trials and USJ. Hungry for battle and completely consumed with passion.

"Come on firecracker. You're not even hitting me" you taunt. This sends him into a rage and he gets that crazy ecstatic look in his eye again.

There he is.

He is pushing you backward with every hit. Forcing you with his bigger form and weight. You can see it in him. The effort he is going to as to not use his explosions to gain the upper hand. Ducking under, using his weight against him and immobilizing his arm while giving him one solid hit in the shoulder and neck you send him back.

"What the hell was that?" He grabs at his shoulder obviously in pain.

You shrug "Wing chun" your fighting style was really a mix of different martial arts. You favored mainly on hung gar and wing chun. The first was the favored form of your mother. It compliments the earth quirk perfectly as at least one foot on the ground. This style is calculated, brute and is meant to immobilize the opponent is as few hits as possible. The hit you just landed on Bakugou was from the second style. Wing chun is a newer self defence style developed to be adaptable to any situation. It was your dads fighting style and let him be flexible in combat.

The explosion boy has rubbed most of the pain away. "Can you show me slower?" he approaches you and you start raising his arms and showing him the moves first slow then you pick up the speed. You reverse your roles and you let him do the arm movements on you while you correct him here and there.

He lands the hit. That hurt like crazy. Rubbing your shoulder you parise his work. "You catch on fast. Let's work on some more katas." you lead him into some more forms from various martial arts knowing he prefers to use his arms because of his quirk you show him some that would be greatly enhanced once he starts combining the two. Here hung gar is perfect as it favors punches and forearm movements.

The explosion boy is hanging on your every move and word. Not calling you any nicknames but absorbing everything he possibly can. He improves fast and by midday you're synced in almost a dance of medium paced katas.

You notice him growing confident in his hits by how his smile shines through. The sweat from the workout is covering both of you but none of you want to stop. Even though the pace is half of what you usually train with, his warm presence and the long session is making you lose your breath. Feeling his eyes on you. You look into his red eyes admiring the fire and passion he has for the fight. He catches you off guard and in a split second you're on the floor.
