After class, Baekhyun-ssi called me to walk her sister home because he will not be able to do so due to their overtime practice. Being an athlete must be hard...

"Minseok-ssi?" - Chae Rim turned me back to my senses.
"Yes?"
"Baek hyung called. He will not be able to pick me up today."
"Hmmm... then I will just walk you home."
"Eh? You are not bringing your bike?"
"Aniyo."

She's pouting her lips again. Then she suddenly glanced at me and smirked. Oh no, not again.
Whenever she has an evil plan, or any mischievous plan, her face comes from this 😇 to this 😈.
"No! No! No! We are going straight home!"
"Eh? I haven't said anything yet!"
"I know you! You sure are thinking of something else!"
"Hehe. It's not that bad though!"
"Aniyo! I won't go with you!"
"Aigoo! You're boring!"
"I'm going to tell your brothers!"
"Why are you like that! We are friends! Chingu!"
I covered my ears with my hands "I'm not listening! Blah blah blah!".
She pulled my arms and drag me away. "Haha! Let's go!"

Instead of going straight home, we took a different way from school, which is a more travelled/ longer road.
Chae Rim bought ice cream and won a stuffed toy in an arcade. And I was the one who paid for all.
My wallet 😭
But positively, I am thinking we were on a date. Just seeing her happy is a treasure for me.

Chae Rim's POV

After buying ice cream and winning a stuffed toy in an arcade, I decided to go home. I also noticed Minseok-ssi is already getting uneasy, hehe.

As we turned on a curve where there are less people and a bit darker, we heard a clash sound.

Boogsh! Pak!
"What was that?" I asked Minseok- ssi
"I-I think we should go home now. I-I have a bad feeling about this." Minseokie is really getting scared.
"Wait! Let's just look a bit. I'm curious." And I quietly walked towards the sound.
"Rim-ah! Let's go now." He pulled my arm while whispering.
"Sshhh... don't be so loud." I started to whisper too.
Minseok can't help but to follow me, then we took a glimpse of what's happening and saw a student, about 180 cm of height, being ganged up by a bunch of students.
"This is for you! You don't know who we are!!!" - student 1 as he punched the boy in his face
"Ackk..."
"You are so full of yourself! Think you can beat us, huh?! Hahaha" student 2, a bit bigger and kicked the boy in his stomach.
Several students repeatedly punched and kicked the boy and the latter was not able to do anything.
"Rim, let's get out of here..." a scared Minseok who is in his tears.
"Are we going to leave the guy? I can't."
"Let's just call the police."
"No! He might be dead once the police comes here!"
"We can't do anything! I can't let you be involved in that!"
"But I can't leave him here! My brothers taught me to never leave anyone who is in need!"
"But... Chae Rim, this is not the right time to do that! Let's go!" Minseok pulled my arm to drag me but I did not let him.
"Minseokie, I have a plan.. let's create a diversion!"
" Are you crazy?"
"No, but I think it will help the guy."
"But..!"
"PLEASE!"
Minseok desperately pulled his hair into disappointment and looked at me...
"I'm sorry, but not today, Rim. I need to walk you home safely."

Minseok's POV

"I'm sorry, but not today, Rim. I need to walk you home safely."
She looked at me with disbelief. I thought I already convinced her, but I was wrong.

As I pulled her arm to drag her away from there, she quickly glanced at a can and threw it towards the gangsters ( or whoever they are). My eyes widened and I went crazy after that.

"What the fuck?!!"
"Who's there??!!!"

I shook her shoulders with and asked " What do you think you are doing??!!"
She looked at me with such bravery and said "Listen, Minseok, I will keep them distracted and save the guy. I will ran as fast as I can so they will not be able to catch me!"
"W-What???!!!"
Before I could say more, she quickly pushed me into a corner and showed herself "I AM HERE IDIOTS!!! THE POLICE ARE COMING YOU SHOULD RUN!!!" and she ran away fast.

The gangsters (?) also sprinted towards her way leaving behind the bruised guy. I quickly took the chance to carry the guy with my arms and hid him with me. When I made sure that the goons were not anymore around, I carried him and took him to a hospital.

All I can do now is pray.
