                                                                                            ~June~

It was a beautiful day out today, the sun was shining brightly, there were few clouds in the sky and the wind was blowing peacefully. Mother says that on days like this she likes to sing. Mother loves singing, she says that it used to be her dream when she was my age, around 12. One day she was walking down the road to the store to get some more milk and she saw this young man about her age playing the guitar, it sounded amazing. She started to make up more excuses to go down to the store, milk, bread, beans, whatever she said her mother (my grandmother) knew what was up and let her go down. She would listen to the wonderful sounds the young boy was making with his guitar. She watched how gracefully he strummed the strings. She saw how he would move his head and hum along with the music he was making, my mother adored him. She wanted to spend some time with him so when she heard he was looking for a partner to sing along to his music she had to sign up. They practiced together every Monday and Thursday for 6 months until she got the guts to ask him out. That young boy is my father, sadly he doesn't play guitar much anymore, but mother still sings. She even remembers the first song they ever sang together. I love it when she sings, she has a soft yet scratchy voice, soothing in away.

"AGH!" ouch. did I just tripped over a rock? really. I got my new Sunday dress all dirty. Who puts that rock there anyway? like how did a rock get on the middle of the sidewalk?

"are you okay?" a deepish voice said out of nowhere.

     "huh?"

"Here let me help you up."

As he helped me up I looked into his blue/grey eyes. Beautiful. They are grey around the sides but the middle of them, around the irises were a light greyish blue. Stunning. This is what I imagine when I read a book about a princess and her prince. I'm the princess. He's my prince. wait wait, I don't even know him he just helped me up off of the ground. He was just being a gentleman-

"Hello?" he said as he snapped his fingers in my face.

"prince-" PRINCE?? DID I JUST SAY PRINCE????? IM SO DUMB NOW HES NEVER GONNA LIKE ME BECAUSE HE KNOWS IM JUST ANOTHER STUPID RED HEADED GIRL UGH I REGRET EVERYTHING-

"You're adorable" He laughed and smiled a big goofy smile.

     "w-what?"

"I said your adorable." He patted my head and started walking with me.

     "oh.. um.. thanks I think"

"yeah anytime, you headed to the church?"

    "um yeah.. how'd you know?"

He looking at me up and down "well you are in a pretty fancy dress. I've only seen ones like those when I went to church, plus you just look like the type"

     "I look like the type?"

"yeah, you have long hair, but not too long. you don't look like you get in a lot of fights or anything like that, you just look like a cute Christian girl."

     "cute?.. you think I'm cute"

"well yeah, anyone would think your cute. I mean look at those freckles it would take forever to count all of those."

"oh.. um thank you, I'm June by the way"

     "I'm Liam"
