The light sound of music filled a room as a young redhead girl danced her hear away. In the room she got lost to the sound of music, it took her somewhere new.

"You are doing great as always Natasha," Natasha stopped dancing and turned to the woman who had a big old smile on her face.

"Thank you, Mrs. Fury," Natasha smiled.

"When do are you gonna stop with that? My husband and I adopted you, you are apart of our family, you can call me Nadia." Natasha only gave Nadia a shy smile. "You know in these last two months we have been together Nick has taken a real liking to you. "

Natasha had just turned five today, and Nadia had promised to take her to the studio. Nick still wanted to take her out for dinner tonight but the little girl just loved dancing so much that she had to go before dinner.

"You know Nick doesn't even take me out for dinner, how is it that he just needs to take you?" Nadia teased as Natasha smiled. "You wanna dance with me? Make Nick wait a little bit?" She asked and Natasha nodded eagerly and ran back in front of the mirror.

Natasha certainly had a gift, a real gift with many different possibilities. She danced her little heart out with her new adoptive mother. Natasha was excited the day they told her that they were going to stay with her forever and really hoped that would be true.

"Okay my little dance, you wore me out yet again," Nadia said. "One of these days you're gonna dance me to the grave,"

"You're silly," Natasha laughed.

"Oh, I am silly?" Nadia faking being hurt.

"Nick said you're silly," Natasha said holding in a giggle now.

"Did he now?" She put her hands on her hips. "Looks I am gonna have to talk with him, I think he is the silly one."

"You both are silly," She laughed.

"Just us?" Nadia asked. "Have you met you? You're the silliest."

"noooo," Natasha said. "only you and Nick are silly,"

"You're all very silly." Nadia stopped laughing and turned to the new voice in the room. Standing at the door was a man dressed in a dark blue suit, it looked very expensive, displaying his wealth and power very nicely. Nadia gently pushed Natasha behind her, Natasha tried looking around her to see the man who had his eyes fixated on her.

"Excuse me sir but this is a private studio," Nadia said.

"Oh don't mind me," He said. "I saw you two dancing, you are very lovely,"

"Thank you, if you would excuse us but my daughter and I should be going," Nadia turned to pick Natasha up before walking toward her purse. Natasha was shocked to be called that, she hasn't be called that since her parents died two years ago.

"Your daughter? How is that possible? Her father must be whiter than a cloud." Laughed the man. He was young and handsome for sure, but something about him stuck Nadia with uneasiness.

"Can I help you with something?" Nadia asked.

"Actually you can. You may have heard of me before, names Ivan Petrovich." Nadia's blood ran cold as she stared at the man with cold eyes.

Ivan Petrovich was one of Russia's most feared mod members. His parents were killed when he was very young, most believed he was the one who killed, and then even at a young age took his father spot as leader of the mob. Everyone feared him.

"I have been watching you,"  He said putting it blankly. "Now I look very young trust me, but I know what I am doing, I know talent when I see it." He pointed at Natasha who was hiding behind Nadia. "She has a talent that would be very helpful in my line of business."

"Listen, sir, I think you have the wrong people, and we really should be going," Nadia said and tried to walk past him out of the door.

"No," He said. "I know I have the right people."

"You are going to regret this, my husband is a military leader and he is expecting us. You don't want to do this." Nadia said trying to keep Natasha away from the man.

"Step away from the girl, I'd hate for someone to get hurt. I want the girl, I'll turn her into something amazing." Natasha's eyes found the men and she felt like she shrunk as his gaze took her in.

"She is not something to be given away," Nadia was pushing Natasha up beside her, and Natasha saw what she was doing, she had a clear view to run away if it called for that.

"I don't think you understand the power I hold Mrs.Fury. Listen to me now because I can almost guarantee you that she couldn't be in better hands than my own." He said. "You see, the world is changing fast, kids these days are heading in an unknown direction, who knows what's gonna happen in the near future if they don't' get some kind of guidance." he took a deep breath. "I think, no I know that I can do this for you."

"Is that so?" She laughed. "And what makes you think my husband and I can not give him what she needs?"

"Because I know. I have a.. interesting way of thinking, a way in which no one else can simply understand. I have an eye and an ear in every place of Russia, I can protect her from things that you certainly can not."

"I am sorry but as I said, I don't sell kids, and I most certainly won't hand her over." Ivan simply laughed at her comment.

"You must mistake my command for a question. No, I am not asking you for her, I will leave this place with her, she does belong to me as of right now," He smirked.

"There is no way in hell that I will let you leave this place with her. She is my daughter. I love her. She is the most important thing in my life, and I never want her to feel like she was a wrong choice in my life," Somehow Natasha knew that statement was more towards her and not to Ivan.

"I don't want to make this harder then it has to be," He said. "I don't want to kill you." Nadia swallowed hard, giving Natasha a squeeze on the arm, even if there were no words spoken Natasha knew what to do, she bolted out the door.

"You shouldn't have done that," He said, and as Natasha ran down the hall she heard a loud bang and she stopped dead in her tracks. Natasha turned around to look down the hall, her red hair falling her face. Calmly the man in the suit walked out of the room and down the hall to her.

"Natasha?" He asked. "Your mother has a few things she has to take care of. Told me I should take you to your father." He offered his hand. Natasha looked past him to check for Nadia but no one came out. "Come on dear, we mustn't keep him waiting now."

Ivan took the girl's hand and began pulling her along, Natasha felt something in her heart, much as she did when she remembered how her parents passed. A part of her hoped the man would take her to Fury but she knew better. She should have run.

As she sat in the back of the car with Ivan her eyes traveled up the building to the room where she last saw Nadia, she could have sworn she heard her mother's screams. She watched the window until it was no longer in view.

"You are home now." She heard Ivan said. "My daughter, my future heir. I will raise you well."

Her fate was sealed that day. Forever and always.

The memory started to fade and soon was replaced with a loud ringing in her ear as she came to. She wanted to know more about Nadia. but the dream soon passed and all she saw was darkness.
