Her Past

'FWEET!!'

The coach blew the whistle and called everyone over,"alright practice was good today! Tomorrow we are gonna start nitpicking the things we need to work on the most! Alright!?" The coach yelled as everyone agreed.

You helped clean up the balls and showed Akemi how to put up the net, "these poles are so heavy!!" Akemi complained. You laughed, "need some help?!" Akemi shook her head, "n-no thanks!" She struggled to hold the pole. You rolled your eyes and grabbed the other end of the pole, "see! It makes it easier once you have two people! Not everything has to be on your own!" You smiled. Akemi was shocked but then smiled softly, "you think so?" She questioned. You smiled, "yes! Most definitely! You just need to find the right people to help you!"

The both of you headed to the locker rooms and began to change, Akemi thought long and hard about what you said...

~6 years ago~

"Hey mom?" Akemi walked up to her mother, "can you help me with this problem?" Akemi asked pointing at a math problem. Her mother didnt even give her a second glance, "go bug somebody else, for heavens sake didnt you learn that in class!?" Her mother said harshly. Akemi nodded, "yes but i dont fully understand..." She said. Her mom rolled her eyes, "well then you shouldnt ask for help if you already learned it your SUPPOST  to know it already!" Her mom raised her voice making Akemi step back a little. "O-ok..." Akemi stepped out of the room and cried a little.

"Akemi? Hello Akemi?!" You waved in her face. She snapped out of her little trance, "hm? What? Oh...sorry...did you need something?" Akemi asked. You grabbed the necklace from your bag, "um is this yours?" You asked. Akemi just looked at it, "uh yeah...its...it must have fallen out of my bag or I placed if in the wrong one by accident, sorry" Akemi said. You smiled, "it's ok! Dont worry about it!"

You packed the rest of your bag and began to head out, "uh hey (L/N)! Wait!" Akemi said. "Hm?" You turned around. "I-im really sorry...for all the trouble...you know I caused you...and Atticus..." Akemi finished. You smiled, "its ok!" And with that you and Atticus walked out of the locker room. Akemi was left in the locker room with her thoughts.

You walked out of the locker room and took a deep breath, "hey! (N/N), you guys ready?"  Kuroo asked as gesturing to Atticus. You smiled and nodded, "yep! We are tired and ready to go pass out-" you started but was interrupted by your phone ringing, "hang on a sec Kuroo" you said answer the phone.

"Hello?" You questioned, "Ahh you answered! That's so nice!" A woman said, you knew instantly who it was. "Hey mom..." you sighed. "You dont sound so happy to talk to me?" She teased, "yeah...I wonder why..." you muttered. "Well anyways you are coming to see me tomorrow right?" She asked. You shivered, "y...yeah..."

"Well I cant wait!" Your mother teased, as you were about to hang up, "oh...also..." your mother began

"Bring that boyfriend of yours, I'd love to see him!~"
