A Little Visit

'Beep....beep....bee-"

You slammed your hand on your phone to shut your alarm off. You sat up and patted Atticus on the head and smiled. You got out of bed and walked down stairs to make breakfast, you grabbed a bowl of cereal and sat it on the table. You fed Atticus and began to eat your food.

"Bland..." you said looking at the cereal, you were NOT excited for the meeting today with your mom but you decided you needed to go through with it. You sighed and finished your food, you went upstairs and brushed your teeth.

You got dressed and threw your bag over your shoulder. You pulled out hour phone and began to text Kuroo.

Hey, you coming?

Yeah I'm almost there!

You smiled and put your phone in your bag. You looked at Atticus who looked at you, "you ready?" You asked. He waged and smiled, you jumped up and mouthed for him to come on. He sat up and followed you downstairs.

Soon Kuroo arrived and you put Atticus in the back and you hopped in the front. "You know you dont have to come..." you said. Kuroo smiled, "eh it's fine, but its gonna probably be a long drive so prepare yourself in every way you need" he said. You smiled and turned on the radio, "ugh nothing good is on!" You said. "Then connect your phone!" Kuroo said. You looked at him in confusion, "you know what I listen to..." you said. "Yeeaahh I know but hey maybe I'll enjoy it!" He said.

You looked at him as he was driving and he glanced over at you and smirked, "your drooling..." he said. You broke from your daze and began to connect your phone.

You and Kuroo the whole way there jammed out to songs. Poor Atticus having to listen to the both of your horrible singing voices.

Probably 40mins into the car ride your stomach began to grumble, "you hungry?" Kuroo asksd as his stomach growled. "Yeah I'm guessing you are too!" You laughed.

You guys pulled over at a small cafe and ate there, Atticus ate his food as well. "So Kuroo what do you plan on doing after school?" You asked. He looked up at you, "that was out of the blue, wasn't it?" Kuroo choked on his food. You sighed, "yeah I guess i was just wondering, we are 3rd years..." you said. Kuroo smiled and sat his fork down, "if your scared I'm gonna be going to a far college you wont have to worry about that. I'm not going far!" Kuroo smiled.

You sighed in relief, "phew...that's a lot of weight of my shoulders, I'm gonna be going to major in art, it will probably be close to home!" You smiled. "I'm just doing Volleyball ball!" Kuroo smiled. "Well if you ever need a manager you know who to call!" You winked. Kuroo laughed, "yeah I'll call you whenever our team needs an inspirational speech!" Kuroo teased. The both of you laughed and finished eating.

"Ugh back into the car" You stretched, "awe come on it's not that bad!" Kuroo said. You rolled your eyes and opened the door for Atticus, "do you want me to drive?" You asked. Kuroo shook his head, "nope I can." He smiled.

After a long drive you finally made it, "ugh...now that we are here I kinda wish we were still driving..." you said. You clenched Atticus's leash and Kuroo saw, he smiled and grabbed your hand, "its gonna be ok, I'm here whenever you need me! Ok?" He asked. You smiled, "yeah! Ok!"

You did what the workers told you guys to do and waited for your mom, "I'm scared..." you said. Kuroo crouched down to you, "hey its gonna be ok...just breath..." he smiled. You looked at him an nodded.

Soon you herd a door open and both of you looked that way, your mother came out in all orange, with handcuffs on. You gulped and clenched on to Kuroos and.

"Why hello!~" you mother sat down. "Hi..." you said. You sat there in a silence for a bit until you spoke up, "why do you hate me so much..?" You asked. You mother smirked, "you ruined my life, I wish I left you to die. When you were born your dad and I's life became a living hell!!" You mother finished. You nodded, "yeah...you really made my life a living hell...even traumatized me...and look where that left you...here...in jail" you began. "You see, I didnt ruin your life, you ruined your own life. You could have chosen to love me and could have chosen to get rid of me, but you didnt. You kept me because you need to take your anger out on something? No you kept me because you actually cared for me...at one point at least..." you smiled looking down. "So your here...you are left here...and you arent getting out anytime soon...because I'm repaying you for what you gave me."

You mother was in complete shock, but she brought up one detail, "you'll understand my reasons for what I did when you yourself becomes a mother, that's if...you ever find somebody who really cares!" She said looking at Kuroo. "So you will be just like me and hurt the ones you love!!"

You tightened your grip on Kuroos hand and held Atticus's side, "your wrong ya know?" You loosened your grip on Kuroo "Kuroo and I love each other dear and as long as I have him and others that love and support me, I will NEVER turn out like you!" You smirked. Your mother cringed and it was times up for the both of you. As you began to walk away you turned to her, "I'm never gonna be a ugly bitch like you"

That seemed like your moms final straw as she began to scream and shout. You smirked and walked out the building with Kuroo and Atticus beside you.

You got into the parking lot and as soon as you closed the door from letting Atticus in you were suddenly taken into  a hug. "That was amazing..." Kuroo said. You smiled and hugged him back, you began to cry happy tears. Kuroo grabbed your face and gently stroked you cheek wiping the tears off your face. "I dont know about you but I'm tired." Kuroo smiled. You grinned, "yeah, I'll drive!!"

On the drive home this sun was going down and Kuroo was fast asleep and so was Atticus. You smiled and held Kuroos hand, just hand in hand was comforting for you.
