Engulfed in a crimson darkness, Doc felt the freezing water seep through the clothes he had on. Seconds ago he had stood on the deck of his ship next to his friend, until everything went wrong. The previous ambiance of rain and ocean waves was muted almost completely by the water that now encased Doc.

He could taste the salt in the ocean water on his lips as he was tossed around in the ocean current. He squinted his regular eye shut against the water, for once his red glass eye replacement coming in handy, allowing him to see short distances in the water without hurting his eyes.

There wasn't much to see however. The ocean was dark and endless, dyed crimson by the red tint of Doc's replacement eye.

Can't breath.

Doc was running short of breath, he threw his arms upwards towards the surface of the water and pulled himself up through the water only to regret his action after one stroke.

He opened his mouth to call out in pain only to have sea water fill his mouth. Doc's arm burned with a pain that canceled out the freezing temperature of the water. From the wrist to the elbow of his non robotic arm there was a painful burning feeling, even beneath the ocean waves. But he didn't have the time to worry about it, right now he needed to breathe.

He let his injured arm drag behind him in the water as he tried to kick his way to the surface of the water, it was quite difficult swimming with one metal arm and a bunch of metal attachments.

Boom.

As he swam he heard the muffled sound of a cannon explosion from above him, reminding him of how he had originally been tossed to the ocean. Doc continued pulling himself towards the surface with his robotic arm in lead. He saw a chunk of wood crash into the water above him and sink beneath the waves, he quickly maneuvered around it

Bursting from the ocean, doc gasped for breath, only moments later to have an ocean wave wash over him, trying to drown him again. Resurfacing once more, Doc's breath was frantic and shallow. The ocean current, still controlled by the aggressive storm, pulled at his chilled limbs, twisting his injured arm around.

Doc clenched his teeth together, flinching at the pain. He held his injured arm tight to his chest with his other, trying to stabilize the injury. He tried to organize himself, observing his surroundings, only there was nothing in front of him except for the endless sea. Did he really get pulled that far from the ship?

A sudden rush of the ocean current pulled him backwards. He spun around in the water to see where the waves were taking him only to be greeted by the looming hull of a ship towering above him.

Doc sucked in a deep breath of air before diving down into the water again.

There was no hope in trying to swim against the ocean current that was pushing Doc right towards the hull of what he presumed was his own ship. To avoid being slammed against the wooden structure doc had willingly entered the dark ocean, trying to control himself in the uncontrollable, storm driven ocean current.

Looking through the red tinted eye replacement, doc watched himself nearly collide with the ship's bottom as he spun around to avoid hitting his head. He felt his leg scrape against the wood as the ocean water threw him passed the hull of his ship and further down into the water.
