Boom!
"What was that?" Lynari snapped awake at the sound. Her hand flying to the sword at her side.
Boom!
The loud crash reverberated through the ship; I could feel the floorboards vibrate.
I stood up," Ana, gather the other passengers and bring them down to the lowest part of the ship. Hide everyone," I instructed. Ana nodded and quickly started waking the girls," Emiko, go with them. Lynari, Luna, come with me. We're going to help the crew members."
Lynari nodded. She and the white fox hurried after me as I quickly made my way up to the deck.
We got to the deck to find another ship. It was hard to tell in the dark, but I guessed it was rogue. It wasn't too hard to believe considering the two large grappling hooks already tying the two ships together. Men from the other ship had already flooded over and were engaging in combat with men from ours. Needless to say: we were loosing, badly.
"Help as many of our men as you can," I ordered, making a sword of ice in my left hand as I charged toward the nearest attacker.
The man was about to land a killing blow, but I stopped his sword. It broke and I knocked him back with a solid kick to the stomach.
"Get the injured below deck," I ordered the stunned sailor behind me.
It took a moment for him to snap from his daze," r-right." He scrambled to his feet and hurried off.
I moved forward. Pushing through the enemy as I approached their ship. Every time I got close, someone would get in my way.
"Alright, this is starting to get really annoying," I huffed. With an irritated sigh, I activated my skill [White Fox Form] and jumped over the heads of the men blocking my way. When I landed on the deck of the enemy ship, my hand flew up. I heard someone clap slowly as I snapped the arrow in two.
"I'm impressed you were able to catch that," a deep voice sounded from somewhere above.
I looked up in time to see someone jump down from the nearby mast. It was a tall man with silver-gray hair and wolf like features. A beastman, and a strong one at that. He didn't wear any armor, but had two weapons that I could see. One was a long sword that hung from a decorative belt at his hip. The other, a sleek black bow with a red stained leather quiver sling over one shoulder.
"What are you after?" I demanded. I already had a pretty good idea, but I wanted to confirm my suspicion.
The man smirked, revealing sharp, white fangs." A fox beastman woman with blue hair," he said," though I don't know why it would matter to someone who's dead."
"I think you've got the wrong idea. Because it won't be me who looses in the end." I said.
"We shall see," the man dropped his bow and quiver to the ground and lowered into a ready stance as he drew his sword.
I was surprised to see the bright crimson color of the blade, but I didn't let it show.
"No point in holding back now," I thought, lowering into my own stance as I made a second ice sword in my right hand," Luna. Limiter 2 release."
"Yes ma'am."
With Luna's reply, I felt a surge of more of my power flow into my body. Everything seemed to go in slow motion for a moment as I kicked off the ground with enough force to shatter the boards of the deck.
In the instant before I got close enough to strike, I saw the man smirk.
"You're so much like you're father."
