"rowen stop," i say, pushing her away lightly, "we've done this 4 times this week."
"so you don't like me?" she pouts.
"no-"
"if you liked me you would show it."
"i'm just tired of this, okay? can't we go out to eat or cuddle? like normal functioning couples?"
"ethan, i dont know who you've been with in the past, but this is what normal couples do." rowen says.
"what?"
"wow," she sighs, "i'm sorry you've been lied to all these years. thankfully, i'm here now."
"sex doesn't define a relationship."
"well," she thinks for a moment, "yeah, i'm pretty sure it does." she says.
"rowen, i'm tired. we can take a nap instead?"
"if you really liked me then you would prove it." she says defensively.
"fine," i say, defeated, "fine."

i look over at rowen sleeping next to me and sigh.
she's so beautiful, even with the blue hair.
i play with strands in my fingertips and smile.
she likes me.
happy with the thought, i close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
