Back to school

*1 week later*

Ivan's POV

I woke up to a loud beeping in my ear. I opened my eyes and looked around. Erika was turning off the alarm clock. I rubbed my eyes then put on my glasses *I'm giving him glasses now* Erika went into the bathroom so I turned over and took my pills. Erika walked out a bit after so I grabbed my clothes and went to take a shower. I put on a white tshirt and black ripped jeans. I put gel in my hair and then got a text from Ruben

Hermano vengador Ruben👬🏼💪: Sorry buddy but I won't be at school today. I'm really sick but hopefully I'll see you tomorrow

Erizo🦔: It's okay. I gotta go, love you

Hermano vengador Ruben👬🏼💪: Love you too

I was kinda sad that I wouldn't see Ruben today. Erika came out of the closet, hot as fuck. She had on a light blue cropped sweater and some white joggers. I put on a fake smile and she fell for it. She went into the bathroom to do her hair and makeup. I went downstairs and saw JC in the kitchen. He looked at me then left the kitchen. I don't understand why he hates me so much. I opened the fridge and grabbed an apple and a bottle of water. Erika came down and got a granola bar. We drove to school and talked about random things. I remembered that I have all classes with Erika. That made me happy

E: Oh yeah, also, the Spanish teacher kept asking about you

I: Yeah, he's my favorite teacher. Did you tell him?

E: Didn't have to, it was on the news remember?

I: Oh yeah

We walked inside and I noticed a lot of people whispering and pointing at us. I just kept my head down. Me and Erika got to our lockers

E: Wanna go to class early to see the teacher?

I: Yeah

I grabbed what I needed then we walked to Spanish. I knocked on the door then walked inside

Mr.R: Yes- Ivan! *hugs him* are you alright

I: Getting better

Mr.R: Well, come on and sit down

We walked over to some desks then sat down

I: Did I miss anything big?

Mr.R: No, I excused you from all work till you got back. Also, the cops came in yesterday and arrested Chance. Everyone knows what he did because they arrested him during lunch period

I: Okay

Mr.R: Of course. When are you getting the cast off?

I: Next week, I think

E: Yeah, Dan asked the doctor

Mr.R: Wait a second, are you guys dating?

Me and Erika both blushed

E: Um, no. He's living with me because his parents kicked him out

We talked a little more then the bell rang. Me and Erika went to the back of the classroom. Everytime someone came in they smiled at me. I smiled back of course. Anthony walked in and sat next to me

T: Hey bro

I: Hey

T: How you feeling?

I: In pain but getting better by the day

T: That's good. Living with Rik now?

I: Yeah, so far so good except the fact that JC doesn't like me

T: You're not the first. JC doesn't really like any guy that comes into Erika's life. He still doesn't like me and I've been Erika's friend since 5th grade

The second bell rang for the teacher to start class. He says my name and before I could say anything the class says

Everyone: Welcome back Ivan! We missed you, especially one person *looks at Erika*

I smiled then the door opened and Ruben walked in. I got up quickly and hugged him. I heard a lot of people saying "Aw!" And "Brother goals".

I: I thought you were sick

R: I may have lied because I was planning something. Here *hands him a box*

I looked at him weird then opened it. It was a new laptop. I smiled widely then hugged him again. Everyone aw'ed again. I laughed at it. It was free period so Ruben got to stay for this class. Me and Ruben talked about old memories, some with Emilio in them. For the first time ever, I didn't feel sad thinking about Emilio. I felt happy that he was even apart of my life. Me and Ruben couldn't stop laughing. After the period was over, I hugged Ruben bye then went to next period happy as ever
