. "You wanna go get dinner?" Mike asked, interrupting Will's thoughts. Will looked up at him and smiled slightly.

"Uh, ok, sure," Will replied awkwardly, but a small smile was still plastered on his face.

"Uh ok cool," Mike replied, shifting slightly but not getting up. He didn't want to get up. He just wanted to lay there and stare into Will's beautiful icy eyes, but he couldn't. That wasn't normal, or at least of what Mike knew. I mean, whatever right?

Will sat next to Mike at the island, arms crossed self-consciously as Mr. Miller stirred the soup that was cooking on the stove.

"So, how did you boys sleep?" David snickered. Will went red and laughed awkwardly. Mike rolled his eyes and gave his dad a smirk.

"Just awesome, dad," He replied, leaning on his elbows. David raised his eyebrows.

"Are you gonna tell me how you managed to sleep the entire day?" He queried.

"Well, it goes a little like this. I put my head on a pillow then lose consciousness. Easy!" Mike shot back, throwing his arms up to his side in exaggeration. Will giggled and David scoffed, now scooping up the soup into three glass bowls.

"Ok, ok. Now enjoy yourselves, boys. You must be hungry after sleeping non-stop all day," David disclosed, pushing two bowls towards the boys then taking his over into the dining room, which was separated from the kitchen by a half-wall. Mike grinned then slurped up some broth obnoxiously from the bowl, making Will burst out in soft laughter.

"Hey! Not funny!" Mike exclaimed, holding in laughter himself. Will looked down at his bowl and took a spoonful, still letting out a feel giggles.

"Nothing!" Will scoffed. Goofy smiles were painted of both of their faces as they slurped at their soup, Mike occasionally sweeping strands of his long blonde hair out of his face.

"Will you stay over again," Mike asked, leaning his chin on his hand while watching Will. Will bit his lip and looked away.

"If you're dad is ok with it," Will replied, holding his arm. Mike nodded.

"Of course. He'll always will be ok with it, and you're clothes from yesterday are in the washer, and I can take you to school," Mike explained, foot tapped quietly against the polished wood floor. Will smiled.

"I'd love to," Will said. Mike grinned.

"Cool!" Mike exclaimed. Will snickered at Mike's goofy, toothy grin, but he was so happy that didn't have to go home. It was better for everyone that way.
