Use reusable sandwich and snack bags instead of single-use plastic bags.

Take a reusable lunch box to school/work

Try making bento boxes for lunch- they're a fun, waste-free, (and cute) way of eating lunch.

Bring a reusable water bottle instead of buying a plastic one.

Bring a reusable coffee cup instead of buying a paper cup.

Bring pasta/rice (in a reusable tub/ thermal food container) as an alternative to a sandwich.

Make savoury muffins in paper cases as an alternative for sandwiches.

Wrap food in reusable beeswax wraps instead of plastic bags.

Put things in separate reusable boxes/ separate compartments instead of bags.

Buy popcorn kernels and make your own popcorn in a saucepan instead of buying bags of already popped popcorn. Put a little bit of oil in the bottom of a saucepan, add as many kernels as you want, and then put the lid on, turn up the heat and watch them pop!

Bake your own snacks instead of buying packets- homemade flapjack is a particular favourite of mine.

If you're buying takeaway lunch, wash and recycle the packaging, or bring your own container to put your subway/salad/food in.
