Chapter 15~Not So Sad Break Ups

Alexis's P.O.V.

My eyes opened,the only I felt was my head pounding.I groan,not enjoying the feeling of my major hangover.Finally I sat up,slowly taking in my surroundings

At first I thought I was only,that was only until I saw the breathing body next to mine.The duvet was covering the persons face,me pulling back to see if I actually went home with a total stranger.

But who I saw when I moved the sheets was definately not a stranger It was Luke.

"Shit." I widened my eyes.I couldn't believe I had actually came home.Again I first thought that maybe he just brought me home when I was drunk,and ended up falling asleep next to me.My thoughts were only proven wrong when I looked down at my...bare chest.All the events from last night flooded back to my brain.

I had sex with Luke.

And I have a boyfriend.

I cheated on Jason with Luke.

I am so dead.

My heart pounding possibly harder than my head was.All of this was too much to handle and before I knew it,tears were streaming down my face.Unfortunately that was when Luke decided to wake up.He stirred for a few seconds before sitting up and groaning.I sat there with my face in my hands,my body shaking with sobs.

"Alexis?" He said groggily.When I didn't respond he looked around the room as I did a few minutes before,his eyes travelling everywhere until they landed on our bare bodies.

"Did we...?" His eyes were wide.I nodded before he could finish his sentence. "Lex I-I'm sorry...I didn't-"

"No Luke we were drunk and I didn't know what was happening.I just don't know how I'm gonna break up with Jason." I said. "Your gonna break up with Jason?" Although his face was serious,he sounded a bit happy when saying this.

"Yeah I mean,I cheated on him.Jason's one of the most nice and understanding people I know,and I can't stand to be with him after this." I explained to Luke,who I could tell was happy on the inside.I could we it in his eyes.

"Hey Jason thanks for coming." I sighed opening the door and letting my soon to be ex-boyfriend in the house.We past my parents and brother in the living room,them saying a quick hello to him.As we made our way to my room my heart rate quickened.

How was I gonna tel him? I hadn't actually planned this thing out,on,y called him because I wanted to get this thing over with.Jason was a great guy and I really liked him,but its only been a day and the guilt was eating me alive.

"So,what did you want to talk to me about?" His brown eyes looked into my own,only making this harder since he doesn't deserve any of this. "Okay well..before I say this you have to know that I really like you and your a great guy." He didn't seemed phased by the compliments as we share them with each other all the time.

"We need to break up." I said it before I could think of a nicer way to say it.He didn't say anything for a while,causing me to shift around from the awkward silence.Finally after a while he looked at me and said. "Oh."

All he had to say was 'oh'. "Your not mad?" He gave me a small smiled and shook his head. "No of course not.I just need to know why." Right when I thought this would be easy. "Yeah this is the hard part..last night me the girls and the band we're touring with,went to that club in downtown.And things happened and....I slept with Luke." His smile seemed to falter only a little bit but he didn't say anything.

"It was a big mistake and I regret all of it-mostly cause I can't remember it-and I feel terrible.I never knew how bad cheating on someone would feel like until this morning and I couldn't handle being with you after I did something that horrible.Your a great guy,and deserve so much better than a girl who will cheat on you with a guy she's-" I cut myself off making sure I didn't say anything about our past "only known for a few months."

"Its okay."

"What?"

"Its okay I get it.Luke seems like a nice guy and even though he was pretty rude when we met,I could tell he was just jealous.I do agree with you though,I don't think I could be with someone who cheated on me." He responded.

"I hope we can still be friends though." I added.He smiled and nodded,pulling into a hug. "Again I'm really sorry.Why are you taking this so well anyway?" I was wondering why hadn't he gotten mad.

"Well since you've been so busy lately with recording and stuff,so I've been hanging out with a childhood friend.She moved when we were 8 and she just moved back into town.I think she's starting to like me and I might like her a little too." He explained,a light pink tint to his cheeks.

Its like all the feelings I had towards Jason disappeared and I was smiling widely. "Jason that's great.Its awesome to hear that you might get someone you really like." He nodded.Suddenly his phone rang and he took a quick glance at it,smiling widely as I did.

"I'm guessing that's her?" He nodded. "Yeah her name is Ashley,I think you two would get along great if you ever meet her."

"Well she sounds like a great girl.So I guess this is goodbye?" He smiled sadly at me giving me one last hug. "Yeah but we'll still be friends.Besides,I can tell Luke really likes you.Don't let him go."

I thought about this and realized he was right.

"Oh don't worry,I won't."
