Chapter 14

*Mahogany's pov*

I can't believe that Jacob would do this to me. I should've put all the pieces of the puzzle together. He hasn't talked to me a lot since magcon ended and when he did, he just talked or texted in short words.

What does he see in the Shouse girl anyways. She's not pretty, she's to dramatic, she seems annoying, and he's way better than her. If I have to, I'll find someone else just to make him jealous. I just can't keep up with this anymore. It's too much stress in one day.

I looked at my phone and sure enough, I had a missed call from Jacob. I was debating on whether or not I should call him but I just decided to go for it.

I called him back and he sounded tired as fuck. He sounded like he hadn't had sleep in about 2 weeks.

"Mahogany, thank God you called me! I need to talk to you."

"Ya. Good. I want you to explain yourself about this Shouse bitch and what's been going on between you two?"

"Look, Mahogany, she's not a bitch at all. She's sweet, funny, caring, and amazingly beautiful."

"Are you trying to piss me off even more because you're sure doing a great job?"

"No I'm sorry. Look. I really like you. Don't get me wrong. I just need some time to think. Please," he said with some edge in his voice.

"Fine. But I need an answer. I don't want to see anymore pictures on twitter about you two making out."

"Ok. Bye Mahogany. And sorry again about all of this. I really am."

"Uh huh. Sure. Bye," and then I hung up.

I couldn't take it anymore. This was going way to far. Here was a guy who I loved and cared about deeply and I never in a million years thought that he would do this to me. Especially with a 19 year old. She's a total slut too.

*Dylan's pov*

I couldn't stop staring at Alyssa as she was getting ready for tonight's show in Houston. It was only the second show and I knew this was going to be the longest tour ever. Sure it would be fun, but my best friend made out with the girl I love. He knows how I feel about her too.

I started getting ready and I couldn't stop thinking about Alyssa. I started playing my guitar and some lyrics just came into my head about what I felt towards this whole thing. I first started with the refrain. Then they started coming one by one and before I knew it, I almost finished a whole song.

I finished the song before the show so I just decided I would perform it. I tested it out to see what the others thought and they all loved it. I didn't care about what Jacob thought but I wanted to at least know what Alyssa thought of it since it was about her.

"Oh my God! I love it so much! It's amazing!!" She said.

"I'm glad you guys like it. I'm going to perform it tonight. Do you think I should?"

"Totally!" Grant and Alyssa said at the same time.

"Ok. Mac, I'll need for you too say that it's a new song and they're the first to hear it. Can you do that?" I said to MacDemy.

"Ya of course man."

"And you didn't ask me?" Lisa said.

"I'm sorry. You can say it at the next show in Dallas. Ok?"

"Fiiiine," she said.

Before I knew it, the show started and during Alyssa's performance, I went out on stage with her because we were doing a song together. As we were both singing, something unexpected happened.

She slowly started to approach me as if she were to kiss me. She had a twinkle in her eye that told me she wanted too. She leaned in to where I could hear every breath she took. I wanted to just stop the song and kiss her but I knew I couldn't do that.

The girls in the crowd went absolutely nuts. They started screaming "kiss" or "I ship it." I was just about to say "I want to and I do too."

Unfortunately, she started backing up but I could tell she felt the connection between us too. That had to be the highlight of my night.

When it was finally my turn, I told them it was my first time singing my new song and they would have to not judge me.

"So this is a song I just wrote backstage. You guys are the very first people to hear it. It's about someone who's very special to me and I hope she knows that." All the girls said "awww," and then I just continued. "This is Be My Baby."

I strung the guitar and started humming to myself the melody. Then the first line broke through my lips. I sang my heart out and the crowd was so quiet. It was like as if they weren't even there.

I got off stage and I started talking to Chase. He and Pape were going on next.

"Dude that was so sick!" He said.

"Thanks man."

"I know that was about Alyssa."

"Really? How?"

"Oh please. Could it be more obvious? You looked her straight in the eye when you said it was about someone special and everyone in the room could feel the heat between you two on the stage when you sang together."

"Oh ya."

"Dude. She was so flirting with you too. There was so much tension between you guys. I was afraid you guys would like start making out right then and there." I just laughed.

"Well I gotta go perform."

"Ok. Good luck man." I patted him and Pape on the back and told the same to Pape.

Alyssa came over to me with a mysterious look in her eye. And then....
