A Different Kind of Love

Chapter 10

*Mahogany's pov*

We all waited anxiously for the news from Hayes.

"He's ok! We talked for like 10 minutes and he said that he heard everything that we said to him. He also asked me if Cameron could go in to see him." We all turned towards Cameron and his eyes got wide.

"Oh. Ok." He shuffled his way towards Nash's room.

*Cameron's pov*

"Hey buddy. How do you feel?"

"I feel great. Still a little bit of pain but that's going to take some time to heal."

"That's great to hear. I missed you so much bro! You have no idea!"

"Why are you just standing there? Get over here and give me a hug!" I nervously walked over and tried giving a hug. I was afraid that I would hurt him or something.

"Why are you awkwardly hugging me Cam? I'm fine. I missed you so much! You're worth the pain." He smiled and I could tell that he meant it so I leaned in again and hugged him even tighter. I didn't want to let him go.

I missed my best friend...I mean my brother. I felt lost without him. I'm not sure what I'll do if something happens to him and it's the end of the road for him.

"So what did I miss?" I think he just said that to break the awkward silence.

"Nothing really. Only all of us freaking out about you."

"Oh," was all he said.

*Jacob's pov*

I walked into the room and saw Cameron sitting on Nash's bed.

"Hey Cameron, is it ok if I have a word with Nash?"

"Oh ya sure," he smiled and walked out of the room.

I turned towards Nash and finally said, "Nash, you have no idea how much all of us were stressing about you. You really have no idea. Especially Cameron. Mahogany was great though. She was stressing a lot but she was the one who was calming all of us down."

"I'm so sorry you guys had to go through that. I really am. I never saw that truck coming."

"It's not your fault. It was the drivers fault. He knew what he was doing and could've slammed on the brakes but he didn't."

"True. I'm sorry bro."

"Nah it's fine."

I gave him a quick hug and walked out of the room. Mahogany was next.

*Mahogany's pov*

"Hey Nashy! How do you feel?"

"I feel a little sore but a lot better. Thanks LOX. What about you? Were you stressed like the others?"

"Of course I was. I was terrified actually. I was just trying to hide it. I was trying to keep everyone positive and just go with the flow. I told you about my experience with my mom right?"

"Ya you did. I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine. I'm just glad to know her. She was my biggest fan."

"She was a great woman Mahogany. She was lucky to have you as a daughter." I started tearing up at the thought of my mom. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have known Nash or even Jacob. I don't know what I would've done if I didn't know Jacob. He was my everything.

"You know, Jacob really cared about you and so did Cameron. He was freaking out that his brother wasn't going to make it."

"I'm not going anywhere without my bestie," we both just laughed.

I walked out of the room and ran into Jacob's arms. He cradled me and I could feel the smile that was upon both of our faces. Everyone was looking at us awkwardly but I didn't care. He was mine and I was his.

I lifted my face up from his chest and he leaned in for a kiss. We both smiled while our lips moved with perfect harmony. When we were done, I put my face back in his chest and said that I was happy he was ok.

"Thank you Mahogany," he said in a whisper.

"For what?"

"For everything. You're the one who calmed me down. You're the one who told me everything. You're the one who made me take my mind off of Nash."

"You're welcome babe. I love you." I gave him a huge hug. I didn't want to let him go. I wanted to hold on to him forever.

"I love you too."

*Jacob's pov*

When we got back to the hotel, some lyrics started coming to my head for a song. I started jotting them down and I have to admit, for my first song, it wasn't bad.

When I was done writing the song, I walked over to Mahogany's room to tell her that I wrote a song.

"Hey, guess what?"

"What?"

"Chicken butt!" She just rolled her eyes. She thought it was funny when I was immature but at the same time, she thought it was childish.

"What really were you going to tell me?"

"I have a surprise for the next show!"

"What is it? Please tell me!"

"Nope. You'll have to wait till tomorrow."

"Really? You came over here just to get my hopes up?"

"Yup!" I smirked and she just rolled her eyes.

"Ugh!"

The night went by really slow. I was panicking because I was afraid that the fans wouldn't like the song I wrote.

I woke up at the time I was supposed to. This was the first time in a few months.

When we got to the convention center, I started shaking. At this point, I was terrified.

When it was my turn to go on stage, I heard the fans screaming my name.

"Hey guys. I have a special surprise for you guys. It's my first time so please be easy on me." All the girls went wild.

I looked at Mahogany and mouthed, "this is for you."

I started strumming my guitar.

"Every time you come around me, my heart starts pounding. It's like a clock tick-tock tick-tock you wound me up..." I sung some more and then the girls went wild when I got to the refrain.

"You're perfect you're perfect. You make me nervous. You're worth it. You're worth it. You give me purpose. Again and again. Don't even have to try because. Because. You're always on my mind."

I smiled when I was done and I looked over at Mahogany and she was crying and smiling at the same time.

That was the day my relationship got even better with the love of my life.
