After a while, Zim realised everything he was doing was pointless. The Tallest didn't care, they didn't even like Zim. So he gave up.
He stopped showing up to school, which of course Dib noticed. He stopped coming out of his house too. Gir still did, he kept doing his own thing like always, but Zim wasn't seen for a while.
Finally Dib had enough of this and needed to know what happened, so he did the only logical thing he could do. Well- after Zim didn't answer the door- he did the only logical thing he could do. He broke into Zim's house. Strangely enough, the security measures were all turned off. Zim was just lying on the couch, staring up at the ceiling all sad and pathetic. Noises came from the kitchen, so Gir was definitely in there, probably making something not even edible. But Zim just looked.. broken. It even made Dib feel a little bad about it, so why not comfort him?

Dib had been visiting Zim after school everyday to hang out with him and make him feel better. He'd told him the whole thing about feeling worthless and useless because nothing he did mattered to the Tallest or anything, and Dib could relate, so he decided to try to help him and possibly be friends with him.
It was the weekend now, and it was raining, so Dib couldn't go out to see Zim, as his dad said it was going to storm so it was best to stay home. He couldn't really do anything about it, and he was sure Zim was fine so he stayed home like he was told.
It kept raining all day, and after a few hours, there was a knock on the window of Dib's room. Zim had put on a raincoat and decided if Dib wasn't going to visit him, he'd just visit Dib. Luckily the raincoat covered his whole body so he didn't get wet.
