Badgerclops’ POV:
It’s been a while since Mao Mao and Oam fell through that mirror, and things haven't
worked out well. Snugglemagne hasn’t left his castle ever since. Adorabat gets nightmares of
that day. And me… I can’t keep myself from crying. I’d breakdown at anything that reminds me of Mao Mao. I tend to stay in his room and just lay there. His cape was the only thing of his that I
have left… I miss him.
“Badgerclops?” I quickly got up, seeing Adorabat in the doorway. What time is it? Oh
god, it’s midnight. “I can’t sleep.”
“.. .Neither can I. You can come sit with me if you want.” I give her a small smile, hoping
to lighten the mood.
“Thanks dad.” She started calling me dad not long ago. It’s not consistent, but that’s fine.
I don’t want to force her out of her comfort zone. Adorabat sits next to me, leaning on me. “... I
miss him.”
“... Me too. I miss him too.” ... I’m crying, aren’t I. I pull her into a hug, hoping she doesn’t
notice the tears.
“I miss my dad.” I smiled to myself… she thinks of us as her parents… she really knows
how to make things better. This kid… I need to be there for her. That’s all I can do at the
moment.(222 words)
