Oam’s POV:
The temple was always a confusing place, but this world, it almost beats it… almost. I
mean, Mao Mao, my best friend, is a demon here? The two of us stay on the couch as this
demon Mao Mao and his Badgerclops fight over what to do with us.
“We can’t trust them, they literally fell out your mirror. What if they’re some kind of mirror
monster or something.” I snicker to myself. “What’s so funny?”
“Really Oam, you had to laugh.”
“Hey, it was a quiet snicker, how was I supposed to know he has really good hearing?”
Mao Mao smacked me in the back of the head.
“Oam, he’s already suspicious of us.”
“We fell through a mirror and we both look like him, so I’m not surprised.”
“Why are you here?” Mao Mao sighed, looking up at this version of himself.
“We didn’t know the mirror lead here. We’re just two guys trying to find their way home.”
Mao Mao got a bit closer to me. He had a blank expression… I know he’s worried.
“Do you have any ill intentions.”
“No just trying to get back to our loved ones.” I try to stay silent…
“Okay, ill intentions? For someone who looks like Mao Mao, you sure don’t speak like
him.” And another slap to the back of the head.
“Wait, how do you have a similar name to mine?” Mao Mao glared at me.
“Here we go. I’m guessing that the mirrors in that temple we were in are connected to
parallel timelines. We have similar names because we’re just alternate versions of each other.
It’s kinda complicated.”
“... Okay, but if you try anything, I won’t hold back.” He then left the room.
“Okay, quick question!” The alternate version of Badgerclops sat next to us. “What am I
like in your world?” Mao Mao sighed.
“You look the same, you just have one of my capes.”
“Wait, why.” The two of us fall silent… it’s my fault…
“I’m sorry.” I can’t believe I forgot what I did. I had hurt them and I forgot.
“Oam, it’s okay.”
“What’s okay, if you don’t mind me asking.”
“... I had hurt them.” Mao Mao looked over at me worried… he shouldn’t be. “It was
before me and Mao Mao had even considered joining sides… when I was there enemy. I had
kidnapped Mao Mao… and I… I still can’t believe I did that.” I start to tear up. How could I have
done that,
“Oam, it’s okay, I-”
“NO IT’S NOT!” I quickly stood up, Mao Mao flinching in response. I…
“I’ve got to go.”
“Oam! Wait!” I’m sorry Mao Mao.
