Ugh, I can’t believe he thought we meant ‘I love you’ that way. We had a quick minute of
explaining that we meant what we said in a brotherly way. After that awkward explanation, me
and Oam decided to continue our search for home.
“Bye MD!” I say enthusiastically.
“Bye!” MD left the temple, giving me a small smile.
“... So he’s going by MD?”
“Yep.”
“We’re not visiting him.” I laugh a bit.
“Come on Oam, it was a small mistake.”
“We are identical Mao Mao. Don’t give him an excuse.”
“Okay, okay. Now, let’s continue!” I grab Oam’s hand and jump through a mirror,
dragging him with me. The entry… wasn’t that elegant though. Oam and I slammed face first
into the ground, the two of us just laying there for a bit.
“What the hell?” I looked up to see me, again, but with… fangs? “Um, who are you?”
“Oh, uh, quick explanation, multiverse travelers I guess? I mean, we’re only travelling so
we can find our home.” The version of me stared at us with confusion.
“Why the mirror though? Actually, why did Badgerclops get that?”
“1. That’s our only way of travel. 2. What do you mean by why did he get it?” I stand up,
helping Oam get up too.
“I’m a vampire, what am I going to use a mirror for?” Oam chuckles a bit. “But why did
you end up here?”
“We don’t know which mirrors lead to where. We just end up somewhere, then add it to
the map.”
“Map? You say that like there’s a temple of mirrors.” Me and Oam fall silent.
“Your world doesn’t have one?” I step closer, holding my hands to my chest.
“No, why would we?”(290 words)
