Miranda's pov

I walked back through the forest to meet Dipper. He said that he had a date planned so I went back home early and cleaned myself up. I even made sure to fill up my bottle just in case.

I arrived at the back of the shack and walked around the building to the front where Dipper was waiting. He was wearing a tail coat suit, a shirt and dress trousers.

"You look nice" I smiled. He looked at me and his cheeks turned a slight pink. "You look nice too" he smiled, gesturing to the suit that I was wearing.

I gave him a small smile. He smiled back at me. "Let's go. I want to know what you think of my idea" he explained, taking my wrist and leading me through the clearing next to the Mystery shack.

I followed him, laughing a little. We reached the waterfall that cascaded off a cliff, splashing into the pool below.

My eyes sparkled. "Its so pretty" I smiled. I looked around and noticed a small portable table and chairs set up with a cloth and candles.

Dipper took my hand and led me over to the table, pulling out a chair. I sat down as he grabbed something. He served up some food from a container which was steaming and placed the plates in front of us.

I took a bite of the pasta with some of its sause and it tasted great. "I love it" I smiled, taking another bite. "That's good. I wouldn't want you to dislike it" he joked.

I snorted and laughed, covering my mouth in the process to try and stop myself. Dipper looked down as I waved my free hand. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh. I just found that funny" I apologised.

"Oh. Well at least it w-" Dipper cut himself off when we heard noise coming from the tree line.

I looked up at the sky and realised that it was dark now. "Oh no" I mumbled, getting up. "What's wrong?" Dipper asked, getting up himself.

I scanned the trees, looking for anything. I spotted two pairs of glowing eyes and cried out, stumbling back.

The eyes started to move until two tall men walked out of the trees. The same two that had attacked me a few weeks ago. "Dipper, get back!" I yelled.

"I'm not going anywhere if your going to be in danger" Dipper objected. We were both walking back to avoid the two vampires when we fell back into the pool. I surfaced and looked around.

Dipper surfaced a couple seconds later. I spotted a sharp bit of branch and grabbed it, pointing it towards the vampires. "I have a weapon. I will use it" I hissed, fangs bared.

They both backed up slightly. I climbed out of the pool, pulled Dipper up and slowly walked around them, still holding the branch.

Once we were on the right side to run to the Mystery shack, I dropped the branch and ran, Dipper right beside me. "After them. We need the brat" one yelled before footsteps stomped through the grass.

We got to the Mystery shack and slammed the door shut, locking the door. "What's going on?" Stanley asked. I shut the open window and closed the blinds.

"Make sure all doors and windows are shut and that no one leaves" I panted, looking through a gap I made with my fingers in the blind. Those two vampires were outside, pacing around.

"Alright. Everything's locked but what's going on?" Stanford asked. "We were chased by two tall men" Dipper explained.

"Vampires" I corrected. "Vampires?" Mabel asked, slightly shocked. "So are we stuck in here?" Soos asked. "I don't know about you but I'd rather not be killed by them" I replied, looking out a small gap in the blinds of a different window.

"Why would Vampires be here?" StanFord asked, scratching his head. "Their after me" I replied. "Why?" Dipper asked.

"Stuff to do with my dad" was all I said. They wanted me because I was a hybrid but they didn't know that and I'd rather keep that a secret.

"Well. If we're staying here then I'll get something set up for the rest of you" Stanley grumbled. I just watched out the window.

"Dipper! Dipper!" I yelled, trying to find him. I couldn't see him and the rain was getting into my eyes making the mud slippery in the ditch.

I suddenly heard coughing. I ran towards it and found Dipper on the ground, blood staining his orange shirt and his eyes half closed.

I ran over and took his hand. "Dipper?" I asked, checking for a pulse. He coughed and looked up. "Miranda.... Is that you?" he asked huskily, head layed in the mud.

"Yeah. It's me. Your gonna be alright" I assured him. He coughed again before placing his hand against my cheek. I placed my free hand on top of it, feeling the blood from his hand stain my arm and face.

"I love you" he whispered, his eyes falling shut and his eyes falling closed. My eyes widened, tears streaming down my face.

"DIPPER!" I yelled, sitting up in a bed, panting heavily with tears still running down my face. "Miranda? What's wrong?" Dipper asked, sitting up next to me. "What happened?" Mabel asked, leaning on her elbows sleepily.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you" I apologised, wiping my eyes with my sleeve. Dipper pulled me into a hug and rubbed his hand up and down my back, saying nothing.

I burried my face into his shoulder, taking in his scent as I slowly fell back asleep.
