Madness, it seems, is all around me. The real me lay on a tiny island of sanity, surrounded on all sides by a sea of madness. With Zyanya gone, I am alone, there is no one left to keep the madness at bay. A wave washes over my island, trying to drag me into its depths.
"You can't escape me, Herobrine. One day I will drag you down with me," My own voice echo's to me. Another wave.
"How much more of me do you want? I have nothing more to give. You have my body, you have my soul, and you have every bit of my mind except this one," I reply into the darkness.
"Yes, yes. All these things are mine. But you have the most important part. Without your heart, I will never be able to touch, let alone hurt, certain people. So, I'll say it one more time. GIVE IT TO ME!!" The voice roars. A wave washes over me. I'm almost dragged under, but I hook my fingers into the black sand of my island.
"I gave you everything! Take it and leave me be! You have my mind, that's all you need to rule over me!" I yell, looking into the sea. Black, everything around me is black. Black sea, black sand, black soul, and black blood. Then why do I have white eyes. I do not deserve such pure eyes. The reflection of a man with deep brown eyes stares back at me. I'd forgotten what color my eyes used to be. Black, everything is black. Another wave.White, everything around me is white. White clouds, white flowers, white wings. White, white, white! I'm tired of such a plain color. I play with the burn holes in my vest, knowing I really have to fix this nervous tick. A flutter over head startles me back to focus. I pluck a leaf from a tree, sharpen it as I had done in training, and throw it in the direction of the noise. The hurt cry of Zaraflow fills the air. I run to make sure the injury wasn't fatal, shaking my head to rid it of the many clouded thoughts filling it. Zaraflow looks far different from the last time I'd seen him. Long black horns poke out of the top of his head and his once majestic white, feathered wings are covered in sparkling red scales. A reptilian, red tail snakes its way around my ankle. It yanks my feet out from under me, pointing the sharp tip at my throat.
"Zaraflow, what happened to you?" I ask, trying to kick his tail away from me.
"You happened, Notch! You've ruined me! Ruined everything!!" Zaraflow screams, inching his tail closer to my throat.
"No I didn't. I've done nothing to you!" I yell back.
"You've tainted my home with your evil! You brought back the greed and anger that a dragon like me has to train a lifetime to get rid of!! I spent my entire life getting rid of it and now it's back because of you!! I was finally perfect and now you've ruined me!!" Zaraflow roars, his perfectly straight teeth turning sharp right before me eyes. The rest of the feathers on his wings fall off and his body get covered in the same glistening red scales as his tail. Bones and muscles break, tear and grow as they're rearranged into a massive red dragon. Midnight and Luna rush towards Zaraflow from the direction of the temple.
"Zaraflow! Stop, this isn't you. This isn't the you I was willing to follow for all of eternity!" Midnight wails, leaping onto the other dragons back. Zaraflow rears up like a horse, reaching around and slices his knife-sharp claws across Midnights face. Golden blood flies into his mouth and his bright yellow eyes dilate with a blood rage.
"Midnight! Run as far away as you can, get away from him!" Luna orders.
"No! I'm not going to leave him like this. If my kind was made to devour evil, then that's what I'm going to do!" Midnight replies before tripling in size. Even though Midnight is now much bigger than him, Zaraflow still laches his teeth into her scales as if he were a lech. Midnight easily grabs the smaller dragon around the neck with her teeth. Zaraflow swings his claws at her some more, but is easily over powered. The color drains from his eyes and scales as Midnight eats away the evil inside of him, then tosses the withered body to Luna. Luna places a paw over his face, whispering words in a language lost in time. The scales fall off and white feathers return to Zaraflows wings. His tail drops off like a scared lizard's. Tears roll down Zaraflows cheeks as everything shrinks back to human size.
"Get out of here, Notch! Go back to your temple and drown in your own madness, don't drag us into it!" Luna growls, patting her friends head as he shudders with cold and fear uncontrollably.
"But...I didn't do this. I've done nothing wrong," I reply sadly, trying to inch towards Zaraflow. Luna and Midnight block my way, swiping their claws at me.
"But you did. You wanted so badly to help your family that you forgot about us! Herobrine died the moment you brought him into that cave, you should have just left it alone! You are the most useless god I have ever seen. Now you and your brother are drowning in each others madness!" Midnight roars, picking up Zaraflow and placing his limp body on her back. Luna jumps onto to Midnight as well.
"No, guys, please don't leave me. I don't want to be alone!" I cry as Midnight lifts off.
"Perhaps now you finally understand your brother, Notch!" Luna yells at me. My only three friends fly off to find a safer area in the Aether, away from me.Wow, haven't had these two in the same chapter for awhile, perhaps they'll finally forgive each other. Maybe? They have to right? Happy endings and all, RIGHT!?
Only one more part! Then a few extra bits, which will be dedicated to questions about the story along with Nether Bridge which was requested.
